Can someone in the JHB region on 1Gbit please do a speedtest to a few servers outside their region ei to CPT and DBN
I can do this for you tomorrow, we currently have a 20Gbps ring nationally. As you can imagine CPT JHB is the busiest portion.
 
Finally I can use my internet for twitch!!

Twitch running flawlessly at Source quality at the moment. I'd be thrilled but this has happened before, coincidentally also during the last long weekend we had. If you recall, it went back to "normal" after it, so I'm not breaking out the champagne just yet.

I hear you. I still have issue with bursting packet loss though.

@PBCool for the direct connect. Has JHB always had one too?
We used to only have JHB, but you would have increased latency from Cape Town. So we engineered that on JHB use the direct connect and ordered a seperate one for Cape Town but then Openserve customers had issues due to the way IPC allocates ips. So we had to can it completely for a while. Now we use the one in Cape Town for everything.
