Twitch was working fine until now

As you can see stable perfect throughput until 7:55 when it takes a nosedive. It has continued to decline to where its now, useless. The proxy makes no difference.

Wow, literally had the exact same thing happen right now, but I'm on Vumatel in Panorama, Northern Suburbs CT and if I'm not mistaken you're on Octotel in Rondebosch CT?

Yes sir. Well I'm in Claremont, Rondebosch services all of the Southern Suburbs for Octotel so.
 
Getting some garbage throughput on NNTP. Barely scratching 14MB/sec with 60 odd connections to the server, whereas daytime is 22-23MB/sec. Octotel, Kenilworth.

Tell me again how these results are not a CISP issue? The packet loss on local falls into the realm of negligible if I'm not mistaken, yet international spikes up to 3% in places?
 
Still barely scraping 19MB/sec on NNTP this morning. No packet loss anywhere on the MTR to server. This is really starting to smell like over-subscription / shaping / throttling.

Well I don't know, that's why I said I miss being able to just borrow my friends vox account and try it out for a week.

I've sat with this issue for 6 months patiently waiting for a fix and I still cannot stream twitch in the evening. I'm at the end of my rope now. I need a resolution or a change because this is not working.

Dude. If I was in your shoes I'd just cancel, try out a new ISP and see.
 
Sigh.. been watching Twitch for a few hours, and the buffering just started, on 20:00 sharp... :confused:

Also noticed that streams are being pulled from random servers in EU, Poland, Amsterdam, Czech Republic...

It usually only pulls streams from London "lhr03"

I've got 2 streams open at the moment.

Not really. It depends on the streamer you are watching and where their ingest server is. If it is live feed, twitch will try and serve it straight from there, otherwise you will get "outdated" feed. Or at least that is how I understand it works.

Close being the operative word. Max line speed for me is 23MB/sec, so that's 4MB/sec lower, which is a full 17% drop. And this is during non-peak times - peak times (evenings) it struggles to reach 14MB/sec.
 
We have turned up a new AWS direct connect in Cape Town so please let me know if there are any issues accessing AWS services.

That's pretty damn cool. Browsing reddit is ridiculously fast now.
