Loving the upgrade to 200mbps :)

Show us some results... :)

Oh uh.

Octotel. 100/25. Cape Town, Southern Suburbs.

No Proxy:

8194279993.png

I mean multi-thread looks pretty good at least.

Proxy:
8194282271.png

8194283822.png

Notice how multi-thread with the proxy gives me linespeed both with download and upload.

Now for anyone who's going to tell me the proxy is fixing my packet loss:

Maybe its the cynic in me but I'm willing to bet by tonight the international packet loss will be back.

I'm moving to a new place next month. I'm currently on Octotel and will be signing up with Octotel again in the new place (FML). I'll be staying with CISP.

I was wondering what's the easiest way to do this move? I'd ideally not want to double pay, and have minimal down time.

Can I order an Octotel line without the ISP portion for installation then move my account to the new premises once it has been installed/connected?

@PBCool @TheRoDent is there any reason why I cant achieve full line speed to Randburg CISP speedtest server? All my speedtests and downloads out of Cape Town max out at 60Mb.

@PBCool Do (would) you guys do server hosting? I'm looking for a provider that would be keen to sell a gigabit port at Teraco with 100Mbit of international transit.

If it's the same I had the you plug the ONT into the black box (wan) then your router into the black lan port.

Sigh.. been watching Twitch for a few hours, and the buffering just started, on 20:00 sharp...

Also noticed that streams are being pulled from random servers in EU, Poland, Amsterdam, Czech Republic...

It usually only pulls streams from London "lhr03"

I've got 2 streams open at the moment.

Stream 1: video-edge-c68080.lhr03.no-abs.hls.ttvnw.net
Stream 2: video-edge-c2a480.mad01.no-abs.hls.ttvnw.net

Weird huh?

Twitch was working fine until now

17th 800PM.jpg

As you can see stable perfect throughput until 7:55 when it takes a nosedive. It has continued to decline to where its now, useless. The proxy makes no difference.

*EDIT Multi thread throughput to london is fine single thread is terrible like always which is also what twitch uses.
