Cool Ideas Fibre ISP - Feedback

My line has now dropped and reconnected approximately 20 times in the last hour. I don't know what on earth Octotel are doing.

Sorry, you guys are having bigger issues, but my 100/50 line never seems to do much better than this:

Using mybb speedtest
Ping: 9ms
Download: 64.24Mbps
Upload: 17.45Mbps

Is this acceptable speeds for a 100/50 fibre line with OpenServe?
 
We have switched international back to our Cape Town breakout and are monitoring for now. Please report anything relative for us.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I have noticed that most of the problems here are in Cape Town. I have also read somewhere that Octotel use the City of Cape Town's infrastructure. Does it mean all the other fibre companies do too? Is that not why we here in Cape Town are having all these problems?

No Octotel mostly use their own fibre infrastructure, they would only use other providers if they need to.

Well, then is must be the problem lies with them, because friends and family using Cool Ideas, and other networks never complain.

International is nothing near perfect as it is heavily affected by the national backhual re-routing to JHB.

Thing will improve when the WACS/SAT3 cable issue has been resolved.

Could you please elaborate what is going on with WACS/SAT3? Its the first I hear about this
 
I can't seem to get anything over 233Mbps on the 1Gbps package. Possibly a bottleneck on my end but can't see anything. Guess I'll be doing some testing tonight...
