Then why is twitch suddenly working for me when it hasn't been for the last 6 months?

The reason I want to know so badly is that if this ever happens again I can refer you to this. Something has been fixed that's been broken for a while.

Nothing has changed from a systems perspective from yesterday, there was packetloss on the layer2 intermittently from last night. This has now been resolved. Glad to hear Twitch is streaming well but as we've seen before Twitch can be very random and fickle.

If we hear from Octotel that they've fixed something we'll let you know. As per my prior post today, they had "broadcast" issues.

We haven't heard anything other than that, and perhaps it's been lingering for longer than what has been alluded to in their feedback.

However, TONIGHT at 4am there is some new switches going in at Teraco Rondebosch etc. The announcement will be up soon.

Up til today, we haven't changed anything, other than dealing with the international routing issue.

That's good news at least.

But I'm trying to illustrate to you the issue. 15min ago I could do any stream with 0 issues. Now I can't even do smaller streamers at lower quality.



This is what it looks like now. I just I'm struggling to understand. Especially since if I ask my friend on TTconnect he can stream it just fine.

Its just frustrating its been like for 6 months. If you go back and look at my ticket this was the original reason why I opened the ticket.

Guess I'll just wait hope the switches help out.

So pretty much perfect. Clearly things are happening behind the scenes so I'm going to stop bothering you guys for now and let things settle before I get back to you about twitch.

Hopefully it stays like this from now on and I can finally close my ticket with you.

Again, we haven't done anything our side yet. Switch upgrades are scheduled for 4am tonight. All I can presume is that Octotel is finally taking heed. But no feedback from management yet.

A couple of minutes before I posted it.

I think this is a capacity related issue. I was playing with the iperf bandwidth settings, for most part 70mbit is < 0.1%, but then bumping to 80mbit immediately after, it starts increasing to 2-4% . At 90mbit, 20%. This would also explain why I dont see packet loss in WinMTR.

I could verify this in more detail if I could change my line speed. If you can change that on the fly I would be willing to test scenarios.

Having the same problems with CISP.

#COOL-20190325-241595 is nearly 24hrs old, no one has been in touch. Don't really know how one is supposed to get to the bottom of congestion, when tickets are answered so much later.

I can't even get 3Mbps to coreix. local speed tests jump between 20mbps and 100mbps.

Been on hold now for 13mins. [EDIT] 18mins and someone answered!! [/EDIT]

[EDIT AGAIN] I got **%&#ing asked if I'm testing over Wi-Fi. I should probably just give up and go back to LTE.

Why are you calling their support line expecting high level assistance? Every ISP I have dealt with has had bare bones scripted support on the phone and their advanced guys on here.

Last time I had congestion issues on ADSL I managed to gather data and post it on this forum with the Telkom rep. Dude then gave me his personal number so I could call him and give him feedback.

Don't expect cisp to do the same but they do have 2 guys who are active here.

You have to understand that probably 99% of queries get resolved due to that. If you want to escalate, please PM ticket details, and then @PBCool or I will take a look and escalate accordingly.

For anyone from CISP who still bother to read what I have to say.

The network doomed international access is creeping up yet again with international access dying every 5-10minutes for couple of seconds.

Seems like routing changed yet again going over slower international link with about 30-40ms ping increase.

Did something go down again ? Don't worry I don't expect an answer.
