HI there, yes there appears to be an issue with the CGNAT server. Should be restoring shortly.

HI there, thank you for reaching out.Hi,
Just checking here, Im trying to sign up for the Vodacom 5G package but your site and support says no coverage. Afrihost tells me there's coverage (on Vodacom). Do you and other ISP`s not get the same service from Vodacom? @CoolEscalator please free my parentals from Herotel....

The coverage maps are not perfect, so you may still get 5G but we can't complain to VC if you dont sort of thing.@CoolEscalator: My apologies I did not see your post while I was entering my response. Is there no 5G Mobile coverage either? I don't have any Home Internet coverage but I do have 5G Mobile coverage which works for me, at least for the moment !
Thank you very much for the fast response! I'm assuming mobile 5G doesn't mean FW 5G then necessarilyHI there, thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately there is no coverage with us, due to us being 5G-Only.
Currently it seems there is 4G only available in the area
I believe Afrihost offers 4G on their network as packages, which may be why you see coverage on their website

The 5G Mobile and the 5G Home Internet have different coverage maps. My suburb appears to be outside of any 4G or 5G Home Internet coverage, but I do have 5G Mobile coverage. My G5TS router does manage to connect to a 5G service - I'm not sure whether this is the 5G Mobile or the out-of-range 5G Home Internet service but it does work and my speeds are decent.Thank you very much for the fast response! Yeah Thanks, I'm thinking of signing up for my self and then ship them the router with a prepaid sim to see what happens. Not sure if they will onboard with no coverage and accepting the risk as I obviously understand there would be no support from Vodacom.but I'm willing to risk it to get rid of their current setup. just gatvol of having to assist with their current setup from the other side of the country. The 5G Mobile and the 5G Home Internet have different coverage maps. If you have 5G Mobile coverage it may still be possible to connect. I have been using the CI/Vodacom service for exactly a year now and have been very happy with the performance so far. It is definitely a very cost effective option if you have coverage at your address.
Unfortunately not, its separate services /infrastructure being utilized on Vodacom's side as far as I'm aware.Thank you very much for the fast response! I'm assuming mobile 5G doesn't mean FW 5G then necessarily![]()
So if there is no coverage, typically we deny the application, as we physically can't place the order with Vodacom.Yeah Thanks, I'm thinking of signing up for my self and then ship them the router with a prepaid sim to see what happens. Well yeah if the signing up is for a 5G area and they want to test another site that's fine as well.So if there is no coverage, typically we deny the application, as we physically can't place the order with Vodacom.
But since Afrihost does cover the address with 4G, that's not a bad option to go with either![]()
