There might be a way to do it with iptables rather than the builtin softether NAT. Will poke at it a bit.

Heya you perhaps have not found anything? Apex on normal CISP network feels extremely bad at the moment and VPN = not being able to play with friends

I am CT based so still using WACS i don't know since you guys mentioned having problems at LINX things have not been very smooth in terms of gaming, dying behind corners when i never use to, shots not hitting people that clearly should be.

The London & Amsterdam server using CISP network to get there and then Belgium is Google and Frankfurt is Amazon

I haven't been able to play much since Eskom for the past month has been hitting me during peak gaming times... I have been using Warp for the most part but sadly it doesn't get rid of Googles horrible network which is causing a lot of problems (seeing these massive spikes in latency which screw your frames up and make you lag - only on Google servers)

The VPN has a strict NAT so can't join peoples lobbies or play most games with them, was kinda hoping to get around this so i could use it since it fixes most problems.

is the VPN down at the moment? I was last able to connect around 3pm but not since loadshedding ended at 6
 
Hey, i was wondering if there is a way i could set this up using ospf on ubiquiti's EdgeOS?
 
What's the preferred way to connect to this VPN using MacOS?

MacOS's builtin VPN client doesn't support L2TP without IPSec.

@PBCool @TheRoDent My wife and I also have this issue. We both play Final Fantasy 14 and chat over discord, but sometimes we need to use the VPN when the servers are very populated else we get serious packet loss and rubberbanding, even when the ping stable (I don't believe it is a network issue on our side, but routing on theirs).

But when either of us do so, myself on Linux and my wife on Windows 10, Discord constantly disconnects for a few seconds and then reconnects. While we can basically talk across the rooms to get around it, I do 8 player content where we need voice comms, so I've had to resort to running a VM bridged to router just to have a stable Discord connection, which is obviously less than ideal.

Please have a look into this.

Apparently there is a new vpn in the works but not sure of the timeline and when it will be available @PBCool ?
