Why didn't Rohit, Jadeja, Shreyas and Vihari form the core team that came to SA? I know Vihari played one match and did well but why was he a sub?
Jadeja and Rohit were injured I think.
Yeah, Rohit and Jadeja injured, and they picked Pujara and Rahane, based on previous overseas performances, but the SA tour was where they pretty much figured out that those two are over the hill.

Would have been cool if they played here. Sad news about Shane and Rod.
Rohit & jadeja injured. Shreyas awful against the shortball so not suited the SA tour. Vihari should have played more but they decided to hive pujara and rahabe a last chance.
