Cricket: International Discussion Thread

Pakistan all out and Australia will bat again! That is amazing. They lead by 408 runs but have opted to bat again and not send Pakistan back out. So they will bat this last session.

"Eyebrows may be raised by Australia's decision to not enforce the follow-on, but you got to understand that it is asking for too much from the bowlers in these sunny subcontinental conditions for the Aussies."

After the demolition of PAK in the first innings, it's looking like a draw! Perhaps cummins should've enforced the follow-on? Although that would make the bowlers more fatigued.

"Lyon to Babar Azam, out Caught by Labuschagne!! Oh no! Heartbreak for Azam. The Karachi crowd are stunned. But they quickly gather themselves and stand up to applaud their skipper. Babar Azam c Labuschagne b Lyon 196"

Well played Babar !!

Australia threw this away big time by not following on. Poor decision.

AUS 556/9 d & 97/2 d

PAK 148 & 443/7

Match drawn

They only bowled 53 overs in the first innings... PAK bowled 189 overs..

Running bowlers into the ground ?
My point is, if pakistan batted this well, they could've batted the whole time. Cummins decided to give his bowlers a bit of rest. Last time AUS enforced the follow-on with a huge lead they lost... (Kolkata vs india).

They missed chances as well, they really should've won in 5 and a bit sessions, no matter what way you see it.

They allowed the batters a nice break.

One wicket brings two. In the case of Pakistan, one brings four! In just two overs nogal

268/10 and a deficit of 123.

Depending on the quality of the pitch, this declaration could backfire. I suppose it comes down to how well the Pakis can hold their nerve in another match where they need to chase a good fourth innings total.
