NZ vs IND 3rd T20

The wheels came off.

Last 5 overs: 33 runs, 8 wkts

NZ 160 all out

Match ended in a rare DLS tie after rain stopped play 9 overs into the Indian chase.

Apparently, this has only happened 4 times previously across all international cricket, and only one of those was a T20:

  • South Africa vs Sri Lanka, ODI, Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban, 3 March 2003 (yes, that game that got South Africa eliminated from the 2003 Cricket World Cup)
  • England vs India, ODI, Lords, London, 11 September 2011
  • Ireland vs Pakistan, ODI, Castle Avenue, Dublin, 23 May 2013
  • Netherlands vs Malaysia, T20I, Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, 21 April 2021

A Latham and Williamson masterclass see NZ home against India with more than 2 overs to spare.

India 306/7 (50)
NZ: 309/3 (47.1) Latham 145* (104) 19 x 4; 5 x 6 | Williamson 94* (98) 7 x 4, 1 x 6

And today's game between NZ and IND was rained out.

Next up: Let's see if Afghan can roll over SL again :)

Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, 2nd ODI

Afghanistan opt to bat

As long as Warner doesn't score, they can get all the batting practice they want.

Tomorrow Pak Vs England. The return of BAZBALL with livingstone batting @ number 8!

@Whright : Where do you see this going? Apparently flat pitch but stokes likes batting 2nd.

I think England will do what they do best, opening batsmen will be out for about 6 runs, then be 64/6 by lunch, a quick spell of bazball and end up with 195 all out, then Pakistan bat, get a lead of 85 by stumps. This all on day one.

Day two, Pakistan build a lead of 289 by stumps. Day 3 lunch, leave England with 472 to chase, England all out for 73 second innings.

Not sure about the other tests though.

England have this habit of always getting smashed the first test of a series.

Pakistan have a score to settle after the T20 WC.

However, come on England.

If they play

England playing a T20 match here. Pakistan is bowling kark and they are missing Afridi.

This will only go one way.

141-0 after 20 overs
