Dropping catches again England !!

Woakes to Mitchell Marsh, no run, dropped by Root at 1st slip. England's catching in this series has been woeful says Nasser Hussain on air. A regulation outside-edge as Woakes hits the perfect good length on the fourth-stump line, draws the edge and straight in and straight out of Root's hands. That was at a nice catching height too - as regulation as it comes

Should be 6 down...Root had a buttered scone at lunchtime. Bairstow is just bad.

Hoping for an England win to keep it interesting but they're not doing themselves any favours.

Interesting perspective from Stuart Broad (who apparently writes a column in the Daily Mail).

Broad's comments on 'gaining an advantage' is one that I never considered and I can see what he means. But, I still think it was a perfectly fair dismissal and with the laws and spirit of the game. Bairstow had a brainfart, no doubt. His silence on the matter probably speaks volumes.

Regardless, this will rumble on for years to come I'm sure.
The over is finished when the umpire calls "Over" or "Over bowled". Not before. I don't see anything wrong with what Bairstow did, nor with the Aussies as it was within the laws of the game. It wasn't within the spirit of the game though.
