I was referring to it more in the context of the Ashes. This series has been filled with so much hype and drama that for the last match to be a dead rubber is the damp squib part. But yes, from a WTC perspective, lots to play for.

I think both teams do still take the match seriously and England are going to remain fired up after that second match.

Absolutely. Cummins has already stated that they don't want a 2019 repeat. They want to win it instead of just retaining it. England has everything to play for as well. 2-2 sounds a lot better than 3-1.

In terms of ashes there is aus not having won in England for 20 years. England will also want to make sure it's not the first series they lose under bazz & Stokes.
