Not really, I do not want to see batsmen doing what he did today. I don't care how well he batted.

I understand your point. From my point of view he plays with a huge amount of passion and fire, especially in high pressure situations so I can forgive him. Virat Kohli plays his cricket in a similar way which adds to the excitement of cricket rather than detracting from it, I think.

He has not scored anything much against good sides. Today's game was really a 'C' side India and needless to say Afghanistan only had one good bowler. Kohli is way better.

Just look at his stats against SA recently.

The bowled over loomed large, but he made up for it. Well played in the end, though I thought he was a bit brusque in his protest. That said, the ball was wide, and I feel the umpires should have treated the Indian bowlers with the same strictures as they had the Ausies.

I think one of the commentators might be in trouble too. After the incident, he said Maxi should put his dummy back in his mouth. Guess it's was to do with throwing his toys out the cot :p

Exactly that^^^

I get the need for T20, grow the game, big pay days for retiring and/or tired cricketers etc etc etc but perhaps they should have looked at a different format for the 50 over game. How good would a 4 innings 50 over match be? 25 overs per innings, both sides bat twice?

I've been saying that for ages. But make it 23 overs per innings and 10mins break between innings. That should more or less be the same time as a normal 50 over match.
