In terms of the ICC Test rankings - what result would be most beneficial for SA?

As far as i know an aussie draw or loss would put us at no.1

Yeah, I'm hoping for a draw in this match.

I hate to see the Australians win.
We keep no.1.
I hate to see the English win.
Australia keep the Ashes, so we don't have to listen to English bragging for two years. Say what you like about the Australians, but nobody can go on about a victory in isolation like the English.

Of course, for there to be a draw, there'll have to be a whole lot of rain over the next few days.

DRAW it is then!

I won't be able to handle the pommie commentators if they win the Ashes and keep harping on about it while their team is getting carrots in the future!

Can someone tell me what happened to the Aussies yesterday? Did the wicket turn evil, did Broad turn evil or did the Aussie batsmen just throw it away?

Ball is going through the top making batting difficult. One or two rough decisions (middle/lower order batsmen). And some poor batting!
