Fearmongering, it is used to monitor your antminer online.

Well, the reality is they control the firmware and it has been very insecure in the past. What do you get for their monitoring efforts? So it's safe to block? First thing I want to do is see how it phones home using wireshark, then block that domain.

If you want conspiracy theory, how about stats that show how many active miners and particularly bitcoin miners are manufactured by them and can potentially be shut down or controlled by them. How many of us are mining for China? Given that they advertise 504MH/s and you only get around 490x on an S9, do you think the rest go to China? The real question is why wouldn't they? :D

It is still open-source, I doubt that they tried to hide anything in the open. Besides, when you buy and host your Antminer through them, they mine in their own Antpool which can easily be monitored through their mobile app or website. I believe the protocol is there to be used in their own hosting environment and secondly to do analytics like any modern-day service. Now you have people which quickly hint at a sabotaging angle, that is lol.

Advertising hash rates, today is not tomorrow,

Btw, you have the S9 and L3+ mixed up. They estimate that number by batch and we are already several generations in.

The graph isn't keeping up lol. Check that for price action... 9:44-9:57
Aaaand there's a rally around the sheer number of auto sells at the 10 mark...

But look at that % jump in a matter of minutes!!
9:44am = 57.51%
10:06am = 93.26%

That's the 24 hr figure.
It pays to understand the market depth graph - especially for this kind of short term trading.
I am out at xxxx95 and now it's crashing because of the sheer number of sell orders at 10. It's a bit of a cliff.

Looking at the market depth, it'll come back at xxxx75 or so I reckon.

Came across this exchange: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz

No fiat but a big list of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin, Zcash, Bytecoin, Ethereum Classic included but not ETH for some reason :(

A buy on the market (direct, not an order) had a 0.2% fee for 5 BIP coins and it seems the withdraw of the bips was free (?).

I was looking for a relative new coin to mine as I decided to mine using nicehashminer during the week for a relative predictable and profitable rate while playing around on weekends with alternative currencies. bipcoin (BIP) started out late 2016, wallet requires synchronization with network and blockchain is about 1.43 GB but downloads very slowly (about 8 hours on 20MB fibre) yet about 2 hours on a VPS (using the linux daemon and wallet).

Mining is estimated at 12 bips a day using 2 x 1050 through Minergate. Exchange rate is currently 1:0.02173 so not profitable but nice to collect coins (while it is easy) should it increase in value one day. BIP is a cryptonote currency, about 1 of 14 or so out there and the public interest score got me interested in it. I think it is more profitable than both bytecoin(BCN) and Monero but you will still lose out on electricity cost and not make profit by mining, so long term... Market cap very low and daily trading volume pathetic as of yet.

For Minergate choose other pools, add pool, then use bip.cryptonotepool.com:3336 for url and your bip address from your wallet for pool login.

I see that the GTX 1070s are also becoming a hard-to-find item at a "normal" price.
