Cryptocurrency Mining

Hi Guys,

What's the consensus on Nicehash vs mining ETH directly? I'm currenly getting 85.0 Mh/s on nanopool. Tried googling this but can't find a clear answer. Maybe saving some tx fees by mining directly on the pool?

Thanks

Those interested in mining ‘new’ alt currencies, it is best to always read the threads on bitcointalk and to understand the markets (and the exchange) in general. Not every coin is going to be a success, it must be something new or a better alternative to something current and some coins are continuedly developed.

I also don’t encourage people to throw everything into mining cryptocurrencies, it is a huge risk. Going the GPU route as a beginner is okay, as a hobby, where there is resale value attached to your rigs. ASIC miners are ever enhancing, new units replace old uneconomical units.

Now that things are going 'mainstream' there will be more power going into the hash... at least the increasing value is keeping 'mainstream' mining economical. For now.

I do ETH, ZEC, DASH and XMR mining in the cloud, and some minor BTC cloud mining, my own rigs are experimental.

All I can say is, either put your trust into Nice Hash or do your research.

Good advice, there is already more than 800 cryptocurrencies out there.

ok so the AMD graphics cards. does it matter the brand? i see there msi and sapphire.

does anybody have that asic miners? those weird x11 black boxes that have 450 hashrates. power supply at 350w. sounds ideal for the home.

Sapphire nitro are normally better, but they also cost more. Just take anything you can find at this stage. My GTX 1070s are making 6 USD/day per card ATM and my amd cards 3.8 USD/day per card.

Yes but you have the rack. I don't even know where to start to start one of those. I was going to buy the card then the pc but if it must be this rack. Then should I not start the rack and then add cards when there is mula?

@GTX Gaming - what earning rate should I be seeing on my GTX 1070?

Where do I get the frame/rig?

Oh my. So I'm guessing every three cards has a motherboard. But instead of a normal tower it will sit on the 'rig'. This could become a rabbit hole. So two sapphires to start with. Then just components to run it?

Maybe I should go tower initially. Recommended sad size?
