Cryptocurrency Mining

I have the same board with 6x rx580's sapphire nitros and could not get it to show more then 3 gpu's. What i did it fix. Set board to mining mode. Set all pci's to gen 2. Plug gpu 0 (your main gpu) into your main pci-E x16 then set pex16_1 to gen2 then set primary display to PEG disable internal graphics

Friend's advised me to install gpu driver's on one card then plugin the rest after this doesn't work. I could only see 3 gpu's

Plug all your cards in an install the gpu driver's. It took long on the amd driver's about 30min and eventually it detected all 6 cards. If you have existing driver's DDU them in safemode.

After here are some guides to get setup on mining pool hub

Hope this helps :)

Thanks I'll look into it.

Is windows refusing to boot or are you just not getting passed POST?

Windows only boots with onboard VGA

If it's windows and you just can't get it right, can always try ethos. You'll make the cost back in 2 days of mining.

Something not right. I used same mobo with no hassle just enable mining mode bios. Windows 10 sees 6 GPU after update and driver install. If you get really angry sell me 6 GPU for 33k buy l3 plus or next batch S9

Do you know which BIOS you used, I have tried all of them and the only one that shows mining 6x GPU on the bios settings was B25CF608.KES, otherwise you only get enable or disable mining on the others, I never updated the bios until I wanted to add 2 more cards but now it seems none of the Bios updates want to work.

Edit: Just to confirm this is the motherboard http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=865#download

There is also a BTC+ version, don't know the difference.

Never updated my tb 250's. Just plug and play. I don't use windows though.

Same board. I just setup. Enabled mining mode and was good to go. Strange

I think I'm going to order some new risers and swop out the PSU, no idea why it's being difficult.

Think about ordering a backup board . Think about the lost earnings while this machine is not 100%

AMD Have just released a “brand new” driver set called Adrenalin! We have tested its performance on XMR/Monero, for now this is our conclusion.

We dont recommend anyone to Upgrade to the new AMD Adrenalin 17.12.1 drivers. Beta Blockchain drivers from 23. August is still the best one, even though they do have their problems and issues but they still outperforms newer drivers from AMD with integrated blockchain/compute driver.

You can expect around 1100-1400 H/s on Vega 56 and 64, and very high power usage.

We have also tested it on RX550, RX560, RX570 and RX580 Cards, all cards have shown no increase and most had lower hashrate of ~5-40 H/s with the latest Adrenalin drivers, therefor we suggest that you keep blockchain aug23 driver if you are using that one. If you have drivers newer than blockchain aug23 you can try to upgrade, the difference for cards other than Vega`s is minor even though we noticed about 1-4 % decrease in hashrate. These tests where performed on a windows build earlier than 1709.

Don't upgrade your amd drivers!

Just to confirm but you did have the driver in compute mode?

No i just copy and pasted this from an article, i dont touch my rigs if they are working .
Okay. Looked like this was your post as there is no link to another source.

The new driver has a setting in the software to switch between graphics and compute modes. You should always have it on compute when mining, the text you posted doesn't mention this.

Anyone here invested with Hashflare? Someone mentioned it to me today and wants me to join. I've know nothing about mining and have just been involved with trading for a short while.

I brought 2.5Th/s about a week ago. Mining bitcoin. So far so good. payouts consistent but I will be putting money toward my own hardware next.

What is return vs cost like?

Return is 0.00015BTC / TH/s

Only charge after purchase is maintenance which on SHA256 is 0.0035$ / 10MH/s / day

If you worried about legitimacy, the returns on the hashrate reported for btc on what to mine is identical to what hashflare.io is reporting.

What is return vs cost like?

What is return vs cost like?

So my initial investment was $375 dollar for 2.5th/s on the 2017.12.07
To date I have received 9 payouts and 9 maintenance and in total have received 0.00296786 BTC. It works out to be 14.9% return over the 9 days total.

If I had just put that money straight in bitcoin on the 2017.12.07, working on the average bitcoin price of $16600 for that day I would have earned 13.38% of my initial investment.

So currently hashflare is proving to be very slightly more profitable than straight investing.

At this rate I will reach complete roi in 61 days
