So what is the FUP on the home uncapped package?on the line, none.
Well either I have been very unlucky with the support agents or they simply don't know how to communicate or to resolve the issue(which I doubt but I don't know what else to say about the matter any more). Of the 5/6 seperate communications we have had I have had to follow up with them every single time to ask for an update which has been a few days between queries.
assumptions...
So what is the FUP on the home uncapped package?
Premium:Crystal Web Home Standard Uncapped is friendly on your wallet. It offers unshaped data between midnight and 8am every day for your scheduled downloads, and great performance for real-time services, however it does have lower network priority than our premium products.
Crystal Web Home Premium Uncapped offers low latency and high speed performance. It's unlike other ISP uncapped accounts which are often heavily shaped and throttled. Shaping is employed on a dynamic basis and never applied to streaming or gaming services.
Anyone knows how much CW charge if I decide to move my 40mb VDSL line
Just go through the sign-up process but don't accept at the end.
It's R499.
Thanks, my line is with Vox which I'm saving and I think it's cheaper though. Would rather pay one fee for now.
I'm pretty annoyed right now. I was torrenting some files at line speed for a while before midnight (9+MB/s). After midnight the speed crashed to 1.5MB/s and it seems like a hard limit, as the various torrents are changing speeds constantly but always adding up to exactly 1.5MB/s. Uploads are almost zero.
Since when does CW shape the hell out of capped accounts during open time?
Edit: Back to normal. Wonder why the system nerfed my speeds for nearly half an hour? I was checking the network activity in the Ubiquiti gateway - my torrent speed was the only usage on the network.
I've seen this explanation before which makes sense.Theory:
At midnight, most consumer users usually start their downloads at the same time (exactly 00:00) which slams the network hard, then after a bit it normalises.
//awaits McD's correction
Yeesh, even Youtube streaming is crawling tonight; buffering @480p on a 10 minute video (10Mbps dsl)....
Gaming was horrendous on CW yesterday - packet loss & latency spikes made it impossible to play online.
Durban/PE? Seems something wrong with the rerouting onto WACS from Seacom following the posts on this Thread.
Anyone else having trouble getting onto supersport?
Strange download from pe 2.1 mb on Telkom 4.4 mb file from Vsl sample download
