Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

Mine as well. According to Telkom, the entire line voice and dsl was cancelled by the "ISP". So now I have to order a whole new service and koka. It seems Telkom are just trying to recoup the debt that is apparently owed.
Which is fair. Wasn't expecting free stuff. If I've know who to pay they would have their money eon's ago. But dithering...

Any other CW/EN Resellers here? Please email us on [email protected] so I can setup a whatsapp group for all of us. Please send me your name, name of VISP and your mobile number. I think we can all work together to help each other get back online.

This is not an attempt to win business or market my business. This is purely to bring people in the same business as me together so we can work as a team to get this resolved so we can all move on with our businesses.

I'm gatvol of CW and EN now...
Ok, so looks like my line just came back online all by its self. Either that or my new ISP managed to grab it from the pool, but haven't updated me yet on the status. I noticed the crystalweb client portal was showing an online session on my account so I got the evonet support guy to check for me and he confirmed that it is indeed back online.
So your new ISP is evonet then?

My dsl and voice lines have been dead since Friday morning. I logged a fault with Telkom Friday afternoon from work, they said 48hours to get it up and running. So this morning I phoned in to find out what is happening, the techy informs me that my lines were deleted at 8:35am this morning. The fault logged on Friday had automatically cancelled when the delete order went through.

I am now forced to reapply for both services even though Thursday night they were working barely. So in 7-14 days I might be online again. Evo & CW caused this issue and they get away with sorry it is out of our hands and we are the ones suffering. Some of us escaped with little to no damage and the rest got royally screwed in the rear.

Having paid for a service and not getting it, and now having to pay for a service which you cant use

Just checked the latest goverment gazette for ECS licenses... https://www.ellipsis.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/41811_432-2018-List-of-class-licensees.pdf

No EvoNet as of August 2018

This is making me very stressed. I don't even know what the future for my company now holds.
Yes I posted the same a few posts back. It would seem (unless of course in the interim after the August GG) Evonet are not legally able to provide services in their own name so the lines cannot be transferred to them and should be operating under the CW brand and hence CWs licence, but then that presumably means by default Evonet would be acknowledging that they actually are also liable for the outstanding debt.
I can see in my minds eye the legal eagles and accountants doing backflips.

Very good idea! Your case is sufficiently different from individual customers to require a new approach to Openserve.

And before anybody says why, ive decided to move back to Afrihost. My best times were spent with them as my ISP, and only left due to financial reasons. AH support, client portal and activeness on Twitter, MyBB, and Facebook is why im not going to Telkom JUST YET.

I still value a good support channel, and i know some might disagree (well one in particular on here lol), ive asked them to sort me out as best as they possibly can, because im absolutely disgusted in Evonet.

Seeing that Telkom seem incapable of acting on an opportunity, let me suggest that either way, you try and find a way to deal directly with Openserve to restore services to your customers. That is IF they give you a chance to resolve before moving on themselves.

Whatever floats your boat.

So we have success on our side...

I don't know if Paul Hjul pulled a rabbit out his hat, but something has happened.

My home phone line has been reactivated and the DSL is up and running and back in the pool. Same goes for all my clients.

Special thanks to Zanele at Telkom Sales for assisting in this matter. If anyone from Telkom reads this, get that lady a Bells.

Step 1.
Phone Telkom on 10213. Press 3 for changes to an existing service. You will need your number, full name, ID and physical address, etc.
Step 2
Ask them very nicely to verify the service is active and in the pool.
Step 3.
Migrate to either Telkom or new ISP of your choice.
Step 4.
Breath a sigh of relief that your stress is now almost gone.
Step 5.
????????
Step 6.
Tequila

Next, is to find a way to warn people about Evonet. Just like they damaged us, we should return the favor and make them suffer

You're the 2nd one back online so far... maybe we have hope?

Check if Evonet.co.za is taken, if it is make note of expiry date, if not take the domain and go to town?

Thank you @schurtek for your steps, will see if I can reproduce the results. 10 minute holding time... So much fun... *sigh*

That is where the ICASA process comes in but that takes too long.
We need a nice juicy who dunit article to kick start that process off.
Maybe someone in Telkom has finally had the b... err guts to to act on the opportunity!

Due to collection. Hard Suspend. Suspended

Is my line status.

Telkom Technical finally confirmed it is in the holding pool but Telkom Sales are not able to do anything because it has not yet been released fully. CW being under are unable to release the line fully since OpenServe/Telkom took control of the line. So what the heck is going on...
