Got to the bottom of my issue. Spoke to a pretty rude agent(i say that because he left the chat with a question still needing to be answered) on the webchat just now and he stated this

Wait
I see the issue
Your account was deprioritised because of the usage on it
Youhave used 977GB so far this month

So the free time is only free time if you use it a little bit
Done with these fools

Fsck me. I wonder if the day will arrive when I consider 977GB of usage by the 17th of the month as "only a little bit".

Seems your free time is not registering as free time or maybe you have your scheduled stuff wrong? Seems extreme to be near 1TB :wtf:

While i agree that its not a small amount, i also don't think its extremely excessive. I also never said it was a little bit, nice twisting of my words. I guess you win one internet

What are they are they saying with this, its fine to use it as long as you don't use it to download or use it for heavy streaming?
This is a capped "premium" account

I don't think im being unreasonable here. The draw to using the account is the "free" 00:00-18:00 time. The periods that the ISP stipulates as the offpeak times and would like you to schedule your downloads for

Yesterday there was a reply from Evonet Management on this thread, asking in response to McGuywer's post if he had been assisted.

Evonet Management's account has now been deleted, and no trace of it remains on the forums.

What's happening here?

for reals :wtf:

For reals. Last I checked it had 22 posts total on their account, and they hadn't logged in for months.

I've screenshotted my post on this thread because of the possibility that it will get deleted as well.

EDIT: Although expected, Crystal Web's accounts are gone as well. As a cautionary note, this message is still on the first post in this thread:

Mod_note: These threads are clearly designed/intended for customers to provide feedback to their respective ISPs - not for disgruntled former customers to vent, not for other ISPs to promote their services, etc - and, one hopes, for the relevant ISP to respond.

I hope that the intent of the thread wasn't circumvented by a mod who banned Evonet.

Evonet Management's account has not been deleted and he removed his own post.

For some clarity with regards to my account being deprioritsed i contacted support again
I thought id share this info so there are no misconceptions with regards to their open time and i guess their FUP

(08:45:39 AM) Raymond: i was told in my last chat with support that my account had been deprioritised
(08:45:44 AM) Raymond: due to high usage
(08:45:53 AM) Support Warrior: i cna check that as well on my side
(08:46:05 AM) Raymond: he left the chat before i could find out how long these penalties will applied
(08:46:51 AM) Support Warrior: You will have to seriously reduce usage for at least 2 month then it will be revised by management
(08:47:30 AM) Raymond: could you elaborate please
(08:50:22 AM) Support Warrior: Usage needs to be reduced to below 450GB for the next 2 months then management will need to look into the case and decide if it is OK to re-prioritize the account
(08:50:42 AM) Raymond: so 450g a month?
(08:51:07 AM) Raymond: on a 250gb capped account?
(08:51:08 AM) Support Warrior: 450GB including your cap
(08:51:20 AM) Support Warrior: It comes with free data for 18 hours
(08:51:30 AM) Raymond: so "free" time less than 200gb?
(08:51:50 AM) Support Warrior: Yes that is correct

Look I'm not trying to slander them. I have been with them for around 4-5 years and decently happy most of the time
I just feel the free time they offer(00:00-18:00) is a big pulling point for quite a few users and 200gb fair usage for the "free time" a month for 18hours a day is kind of a joke

I'm better off using a cheaper ISP and setting my downloads to midnight to 6am

Maybe you guys having issues should check if your accounts have not been deprioritised too

My account has also been causing problems for about the past week and a half or so (PE). Anyone have any alternate solutions of who to move to?

I am looking at a Web Africa 200GB or 300GB capped account. They have up to 1000GB usage between 12am and 6am. And wirh a 4MB adsl line, I have to download a lot to download all that data.
