Mine died exactly at 6:30 this morning. Https is broken.

Downloads roaring along at 60-80kb/s on a 10mb uncapped premium line. Something is definitely broken somewhere.

Apparently we should have been sent new account details? Chatting live support now and they are supplying me with a new account.

Has anyone else been given new account details recently?

I did not know that CW has changed backbone, but I'm still getting an IS IP.

Up to yesterday afternoon my average ping to Cape Town for the last 8 months were 571ms. Now it is 26.

Seems it wasn't "Telkom" after all.

Just go to the new portal and do the forgot your password thing, once you have made a new password and log into the portal go to services, your account name will already be there and there is a button to change your password to your new account if you so wish. Only thing is there is no news server which is why I'm going to try another ISP, no more free time in the day, no more news server and way way more expensive than any other ISP, I'm done.

Ditto. Should have come here first before messing around with my home setup.

Yeah, I reset and re-entered my password 3 times before posting this, and about double that in terms of restarts. It came back on at about 07:43 this morning, only took them about 6 hours.

I'm not comfortable at all with this backbone move, since IS was ultra reliable. I've had to reset my router twice already since the email just to get proper speeds and latency again, and the third time that didn't even work and I had to contact support.

Will have to reconsider my options if this continues.

I have the same problem download on crystal was 200 kb/s webafrica 2.6 mb

Also, my usage emails are still based on my old crystalpremium.co.za account, so the usage isn't updated at all because this account isn't in use any more, so the data amount just stays the same.

New account names and passwords were - supposedly - sent last week Thursday. I have not received it.

I also cannot access the new portal or request a password reset since my email which they read back to me and get all my CW mails on...is invalid for some reason when doing a reset.

I will test things out assuming my new account is working when I get home this evening, because it wasn't when I left this morning coz of authentication issues on OpenServe's side. I am also an IS fan because latency to the EU for games has been top notch. If I do not get the same or better pings to EU I am out.

I think Web Africa is still on the IS backbone.

Guess you haven't gotten your new account yet either. Drop them a line on their live support. It may not work though because OpenServe was having authentication issues at about 7.30 this morning.

It is obviously not on IS anymore because the the IS news server is not working.

Sometimes you can log onto speedtest and it'll tell you who your backbone provider is. With the old CW accounts it clearly displays IS as the network.

It displays as EvoNet for me on the new login.
