Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

I got two emails from podio indicating the cancellation process. Last one effective 31 May 2018.

I switched to the cw network yesterday, just to see what happens. It started out OK, but by early evening it was very slow. After switching to my backup account, "(read as new improved capped main account)", everything got better.

I am very disappointed about how things turned out, but maybe it is for the better. I pay now more than half less than what I used too, for same amount of usage.

So I'm on a 150gb+uncapped from 00:00-1800. Had this account for years. Does any other ISP offer a similar deal?

afaik Afrihost offers this from 00:00 to 08:00 - i had a 100gig capped for R99 and this uncapped night data.

They do have other higher capped accounts (i cant believe i'm actually recommending afrihost)

I've just moved to Cool ideas, they offer 10mb uncapped for R699 (Openserve) . So far, they remind me of how CW used to be when most of us left OpenWeb.

I was one that didn't receive the mail a few minutes after requesting cancellation. I also contacted support whom assured me that the cancellation will be done and I will receive a mail on the 19th. That mail never arrived in my inbox so I just contacted support who confirmed that the cancellation was processed and my contract will end 31st of this month. Chat with them to confirm.

Spoke them yesterday and basically got a similar reply from them. They mentioned that I should receive the confirmation email within the next couple of days.
 
Did anyone else get an invoice for June, even though you cancelled before the 18th?
 
Nope. My voice and adsl line is down though. I hope not it got cancelled when cancelling my data package.
 
Also got an invoice , despite cancellation and follow up email confirming cancellation
cannot see how CW can get any worse IMHO, when they cannot even get a cancellation correct
 
Also got invoiced even though I cancelled last month and have chat confirmation that cancellation was received.
 
Been fine for a while. In Speedtest app I see CrystalWeb and not Evonet anymore.
Anyone care to comment?
