Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

I requested my line be migrated back to telkom beginning of last month. They are now saying openserve won't listen to Evonet until the outstanding issues with CW are sorted out first. Surely this cannot be as it contravenes our rights.

For farks sake... So this is why my line is still in "holding"...

Can everyone who's been having issues recently with CW please DM me and tell me your story and what your experience has been like recently? I'd like to cover this.

Sent a DM. Hope it does some good.

For the kicks I am going to lodge a complaint with ISPA and see what they tell me...

*edit*

CW/Evonet are not on the list of members of ISPA so this will probably do nothing...

*edit 2*

Since they are not on the list ISPA can't really help :/. Also not really sure where CW/Evo is breaking ISPA code...

According to ICASA we can lodge a complaint through them:

https://www.icasa.org.za/pages/consumer-complaints-procedure

COMPLAINTS AGAINST TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE PROVIDERS
  • Quality-of-service complaints, such as complaints about network coverage; dropped calls; line installation, activation, transfer and suspension; ADSL; mobile-number portability or suspension of service

So fellow aggrieved CW/Evo customers I reckon we can lodge a complaint with ICASA. I have given CW/Evo more than 14 days to sort out my line issue, had no feedback and now have no idea who the frak I have to pay and may end up with a suspended line all over again... @Paul Hjul This is ridiculous now...

Apparently, "management" will address the issue before the end of the day. Not getting my hopes up but this is fking ridiculous...

If I were you I would still put a complaint in with ICASA because, as you said, there is no point in getting one's hopes up. Rather put in an official complaint and let the dust settle from there...

According to Telkom my Data line were cancelled, I only have a voice line?? Been on support 5 times already, they can't even fix a simple problem like this. Incompetent fools

Telkom told me the exact same thing. Apparently I don't have ADSL anymore, only voice...

Thankfully I still have an Internet connection active at home but for how much longer I wonder... Gotta get that ICASA complaint in ASAP!

I spoke with 2 people at Openserve. They say that Crystalweb owes them money and won't move any lines until they have paid up and they are taking legal action against them. I also asked if they predict this to be resolved soon, unfortunately they do not.

Don't suppose you asked what this means for us the customers of CW? I mean who do I pay for the line? Can I expect for it to be disconnected at the drop of a hat? I have proof that I have been paying for the line all this time so what does that mean? For some reason I can see a month of no Internet coming... *sigh*

That's very unethical of openserve.

Agree... This is not for openserve to drop paying customers connection, or prevent them from moving to the holding pool. In fact, open serve should be more accommodating in helping people move away.

Ok , so if you cancel now from Crystalweb, will you be able to get a new ISP and will the line be released?

Edit: Next month

Cancelled my line on the 8th October. It's still currently in a "Migration State". I'm now without internet at home.. siiggghs.
I'll fill out petitions/complaints forms if required.

If your line was managed by Crystal Web, like mine, they won't be able to migrate it to the holding pool. So no, your line won't e released.
