Crystal Web (NEW ISP) ADSL Feedback

Your router also didn't close your last session properly. You need to give your router a proper power cycle as it's currently very confused. :D

I've actually changed routers as my normal router don't want to connect to the new credentials.

apparently the file host I'm using is being classified as "bypassing shaping" so the account is completely useless.

had less problems with OW

cancellation request send.

You used half a terabyte of unshaped data this month and were then moved to shaped, at which point you used a downloading service that's used by most to bypass shaping from ISPs (they even advertise it as such), and your download on this service was therefore shaped - your speedtests were fine, so you were not throttled at all.

I don't think we were unfair in any way here, but we will process your cancellation if that's how you'd prefer to go.

Unfortunately we will not be offering an unshaped account at the price you're currently paying, but it appears that you're expecting this. You also appear to be under the impression that bypassing shaping using certain services is acceptable and we should simply unshape that traffic because it's not p2p or nntp. We cannot and will not do so, especially when the traffic to such a service is during office hours.

Cheeky bastards... thats exactly what happened... its only been collected today ....

Then again, I wouldn't be able to play with it for another 2 weekends anyway, why do people have to get married when I'm getting new toys
It seems to be the stalling tactic that they use. They claim to have it in stock. You order it. They claim that it has been collected, and then they order it. A few days later when they receive it, they say they gave you the wrong tracking number.

The one I ordered a couple hours before toxic is awaiting clearance in Kempton Park. I don't think they're dodgy like that.
More likely his unit just missed a daily pickup by ups

Please say it is not a VPN service because I will be going back to being on a VPN all the time by the end of this month? Half a TB is madness though.

Please for the love of god, no. :D

Any difference from an upgrade can be paid separately.

You can use your customer name as a reference for now as the reconciliation is still manual.

Done. I used my name as a reference. Just to be difficult.

The distinction between shaping and throttling in the nomenclature is not time-based. Moreover the site is not a normal file hosting site as it encrypts all traffic in an attempt to bypass any possible shaping, as per their own marketing.

If 500 gigs of unshaped data then subsequent shaping when its bypassed makes us worse than another ISP, then that ISP is surely going to be lucky to have you back.

All the best.

What is really frustrating here is that a customer who circumvents network management techniques and goes out of their way to "downloads the Internet" requires us to do a proper investigation before we bring out the nasty language - which takes considerable energy on our part - and at that time they've already done the harm to other users. I said to another one of the heavier usage customers over the weekend that it is great because our customers with few exceptions have actually disproved the nonsense often spoken about heavy use customers. Sadly a customer who is both heavy use and has an entitlement complex adds toxicity to the ecosystem which makes me both exceptionally angry and pretty damn disappointed in humanity.

One doesn't have to look far to lose faith. Every day I wonder why people can drive like douches, yet would never do similar things while walking or face to face. People behind a steering wheel, or a screen, change to become self centred and inconsiderate.

Yup, Keoma and him can be very happy together :)

Some customers are just bad for business!

its quite funny how a company that started out with great intentions somehow lost that intentions.

shaping is to keep business accounts priority during office hours 07.00 - 17.00 but to be shaped to 40kbps at 21.11 in the evening, that's ridiculous. and that's plain throttling.

when I signed up there had been no terms and conditions, AUP or FUP and I did not been notified about any changes as a matter of fact.

I signed up for an uncapped account. nowhere it said what type of account. or that you would be shaped to 40kbps on a 4mb line at 21.11 which is clearly after hours.

I send emails to support that took more than 24 hours to be answered compared to 3 minutes when I signed up. I tried online support numerous times without anything happening.

and when stating that then I'm slandering???

I don't think so. I've actually only replied to your posts.

One of the things I asked today was what the fup is. Mainly because our average monthly is between 300 to 600 GB. I just dont want us throttled because we had a busy month :)

I expect this to double or possibly triple in the next 6 to 8 months. I want to use the cloud for much more than the current basics. Kinda don't think I am going to be using the same package as the person complaining though...
