Ah, Anubis is a 2019 indie map winner, Mapcore Mapping Contest, and Chlorine came second. Just checked Anubis and Chlorine in the Steam Workshop, many issues... but I guess they want the CSGO public player base to help in patching these issues.

@Neoprod

Are we playing tonight or do you have a planned blackout? The state called a lockdown, not a period of hibernation.

Jissus, the papsak is strong with this one.

Will be around tonight if you're not out looking for a gum-job from a bergie.

Seeing how much 'positive' attention Valorant is receiving at the moment and with the rumours that Riot will pump big money into the e-sports scene I decided to give this game it's own thread.

It is best to keep these two titles seperate, too much competition in the multiplayer FPS category. Shroud, Warowl and most older CS players are saying the Valorant's weapon mechanics are like CS 1.6 and that may be a big win.

Mmmm will check it out.
The beta only started to roll out now. The USA, Canada and some places Europe are covered, but others will need to wait until they get to have their own servers, and Riot will not deploy servers in regions where COVID 19 is still a risk or where lockdowns are in place. I guess Asia will be next, then South America, and only then we will be considered.

I believe the game is worth the hype. I watched Summit play yesterday, and he likes it. Shroud likes it so much that he started making tutorial videos on the game. However, the insane viewership numbers, and even though there is lockdown in place and beta key drops, seems to be manipulated. They already admitted to viewbotting and many people idle the Twitch streams to get key drops.

Some people are selling beta keys @ $150 at the moment. Apparently Riot is trying to get it under control.

OMG so there is controversy already. Twitch bots should die a horrible death. They are the reason my daughter stopped streaming - someone put some on her channel then reported her. Hard to prove who added them.

Naah I have just created the account - I know it releases towards the middle of the year. It looks like a combination of Paladins and CS - but I am curious.

Anyone seen the latest CS patch notes? Krieg nerf and they rebuffed the Tec-9. Many more changes to other weapons in regard to accuracy, and CT main price reduction... The Bizon also now do more damage to armour.

Finally, Krieg not meta anymore
They buffed the AUG, pros don't scope with it anyway so the nerf is meaningless. There is a chance this may become the new CT meta. The armour penetration on this rifle may just be enough to swing some players away from the M4A1-S price reduction.

Ts is going to run Tec-9s again. The P250 may slip out again, and half-buys will now be more pistol balanced for Ts. The Bizon may now become spam king, it is all about ADR.

The only reason the Krieg became meta was due to the price drop, only then its accuracy became a pest for people after the pros started playing with it. You still need to be good with it, to be fair most people can't consistently aim in CS. This was more a issue for pros than the general player bass. Pending on how strong the nerf is this weapon may now be forgotten.

I suspect the M4A1-S and the AUG will be meta. The price reduction on the M4A1-S is huge. Aug is useful as a secondary load out slot for when you don't want to use M4A1-S.

I'll need to play with the Deagle a little more to see what the movement effects are. Got caught out a few times by the jump inaccuracy with the deagle.

The armour penetration on the AUG is a little bit OP.

The Deagle buff is a bit insane, it is a huge difference. Dust2 A-bomb diffuse is going to be a bit of challenge now... Jump spam is very accurate, though not precise.

I suppose tonight is Dust 2 and Deagle jump shot time. Only issue I'm having is that I'm struggling getting my aim again after not playing for close to a year. That and the randoms when solo Queuing is making the experience sad.

Since my home PC became my work PC, I haven't been in the mood to play any games

Will be on later if anyone's around.
