Currie Cup too white - ABSA

The way things are going ( Malema + Cosatu), your wish might come true sooner rather than later. :D

I hope so. I am not calling their bluff. I want 90% black rugby across the board at all levels - now - as in immediately! What are you afraid of? Why are you against this?

probably afraid of us getting knocked out in the 1st round of the world cup.

Malema and Cosatu are two stupidity examples, why correlate that with race? He didn't.

I totally forgot that the words coming out of Malema and Cosatu's mouth is that of a white activist movement

Nope, it's a stupidity movement. I refuse to clasify them racially as it would be an insult to the race :p

Merit, is the only criteria that should be considered to fufill a postion/role be it in business or sport. If a person lacks that merit, they should be assisted in obtaining the relevant standard or merit and then apply on a equal basis.

I'll be closing all my ABSA accounts ASAP. I've been wanting to for a while now anyway, but this is as good a time as any. I don't want to contribute to the racist situation of more than 10% of their clientele being white.

I am curious. How does the new Apartheid government measure colour? Do they conduct DNA testing on all sports men and women? Do they have a panel made up of 9 "blacks" and 1 "white" who decide, "hmm, yep, I think he is coloured, let him play for the Boks!". How is it done?

If it is scientific then, I doubt people of mixed race always have 50% "black" DNA, surely? The numbers must vary, like some people of mixed race must have 20%, 30%, 45% black DNA? Or how does it work? Now if "white" Afrikaners have 10%, then what would they require to qualify? How is colour decided as you get many people whose skin colour does not always match their race, so how do they work it out?

Only 10% of Rugby supporter are black why must 90% of the players be black?

We would hope that with more blacks playing rugby.....the support base would grow.
With that perhaps a desire to play rugby by the new support base.:)

Well, it has been 16 years now. Why the wait? I say rugby at all levels must be made 90% black now. Then watch the support base grow

Separate development, racial segregation, racial quotas, racial redevelopment, racial redistribution, apartheid, racial transformation = All from the language of racism.

Pogings om teen druktyd kommentaar by Hoskins te kry was onsuksesvol.

I feel that it is irrelevent what the racial make up of the team is - it is apparent that MOST South Africans would support a team with any ratio of black/white/coloured or whatever players. Look at the support that the likes of January, Habana, the beast, Chester Williams to name just a few get. This debate is irrelevent, the people that are insisting on quota or of commenting on the racial makeup of the team are causing the problem. There is no issue here, leave it alone and let time and nature change things. It is not race that seperates Rugby and Football players it is socio economics. Look at the rest of the world.

Any comments on Soccer?

Why does this question always come up when discussing transformation in rugby?

Whites were NEVER denied the opportunity to play soccer even during apartheid. Their is a long list of whites who played soccer back in the day and were heroes to many blacks in the township.

Don't bring this BS up again.
