When will people realize that transformation is a slow process and needs to start at the grass-root levels. You need to encourage the previously disadvantaged to participate and then let the talent come through to the top. I would much prefer to have a team that is say 90% white but with almost 80% at grass root from the previously disadvantaged group. Eventually the cream will rise to the top. These quick fixes such as BEE are just cosmetic and do not result in true transformation.

Agree with Greg that they should look at their own board first.

Transformation shouldn't be a slow process. It should be swift, immediate and final. If there are wrongs, why slowly correct them? If you had a situation of racist, xenophobic attacks would you limit the SAPS to arresting a maximum of ten people every five years. Of course not. Each team has to have a 7/5 ratio. That could be 7 blacks and 5 whites, or 7 whites and 5 blacks. The interesting part, though, is that both teams that are too white and teams that are too black get penalized.
