Currie Cup too white - ABSA

Awwwww this is just gonna get interesting now.

So what is your solution to this predicament then djtay...

Let them do it, they must do it now. They are using supporters' money to slowly change the game to suit their racist agenda. Change the teams NOW! All SA teams, national and provincial must be 90% black starting immediately! Do it!

See how many spectators you have. See how many 3N and WC's you win. Do it! Now!

No, they don't have the balls to do it. Fact is, it will be 90% black one day - but it will happen gradually as has been the case WHILE they milk dumb-ass whites who will pay for transformation.

Do it now! Tired of threats & sick of paying for it. Grow some balls .gov & ABSA. Fulfill your racist agenda. Change it now and let them play to empty stands with no 3N contract renewals. Do it!

While you're at it make the SA swimming team black too.

Why does the NBA in the US not reflect demographics? Why does the US heavyweight division not not reflect US demographics? That is a non-racist society.

Sadly SA remains a racist society, this shows the racist agenda. Continue - but do it now! Grow some.

Number of black players in 1995 RWC = 1
Number of black players in 2007 RWC = 2

Very gradual.

When will people realize that transformation is a slow process and needs to start at the grass-root levels. You need to encourage the previously disadvantaged to participate and then let the talent come through to the top. I would much prefer to have a team that is say 90% white but with almost 80% at grass root from the previously disadvantaged group. Eventually the cream will rise to the top. These quick fixes such as BEE are just cosmetic and do not result in true transformation.

Agree with Greg that they should look at their own board first.

This has been said since 1995. Its 15 years later and nothing has changed. Black players simply don't get the opportunities white players receive. South African coaches are inherently prejudice and would rather stick the black guy out on the wing than to "disrupt" the team.

Now you are speaking through your arse. Come and watch a few games in our Friendly City and then say that again.

Transformation shouldn't be a slow process. It should be swift, immediate and final. If there are wrongs, why slowly correct them? If you had a situation of racist, xenophobic attacks would you limit the SAPS to arresting a maximum of ten people every five years. Of course not. This whole transformation things is complete and utter hypocrisy. If there are wrongs then make them right immediately. 90% black rugby starting immediately. Stop banking the money and screaming transformation at the same time. Kiss the money goodbye and transform immediately. I want 90% black teams and I want them now across the board at all levels!

Take your whining somewhere else. The problem with your type is you don't know what transformation means. The same with the Rugby coaches. According to them transformation means picking your two black players and sticking them on the wing and thats their bit for transformation.

Netball South Africa uses a more fair approach in my opinion.

Each team has to have a 7/5 ratio. That could be 7 blacks and 5 whites, or 7 whites and 5 blacks. The interesting part, though, is that both teams that are too white and teams that are too black get penalized.

Pull your head out the sand. That is exactly what it is. Slow or fast. Still a takeover. If you can't see the hypocrisy, sorry for you. Let's stop tip toeing around it. It is not about merit. It is about numbers. I want to support a racist society, I want 90% black rugby now irrespective of merit!

A take over of what? Something that doesn't belong to you in the first place. That is the problem with this them and us attitude. No one want's to take over "you're" sport. What's wrong with giving deserving black players a chance?

please explain to me how you justify transformation when it discriminates based on race. I have a problem with exclusive opportunities for black and white players.

what a silly approach .... this is rugby, not netball.

The problem is that after 16 years your still have racist trash thinking along the lines of black and white who tries to implement racist policies exactly similar to that the racist apartheid government tried (verstaan?)

Yes, 5 players must be black. Or 10 players must be black. Or 15 players must be black. No, that is not racist! That is merit! :D

Get lost. As I said before your type doesn't have a clue what true transformation means. Its not about numbers. Numbers were introduced to FORCE coaches to give black players a chance.

Why is it racist to give a deserving black player a chance? Really?

Only 10% of Rugby supporter are black why must 90% of the players be black?

Pleas provide a link to this statistic? I would love to see the actual numbers. If I am wrong I'll gladly apologize.

if he is a good player give him a chance based on his merit and performance, not on the colour of his skin, it is harmful and wrong to the white players AND the black player because you are jeapordizing his career by elevating him far above his ability. I am against any racist policy that has an exclusive racism tag towards it. If everyone can't have an equal chance, then no one should play rugby.

hence force them to be racist. Wow apartheid 101 ...?

This is my stance as well.

EDIT: add ABILITY to merit and performance.

Sny 'n lyn pikkewyn. Black players are not good enough, hence the current ratio. Once we start putting the best person in the job this country will start moving forward.

:D Emotional for you, isn't it? You keep pretending transformation is about the transformers movie and the adults here will discuss these racist policies.
