Where would Habana, Paulse, JDJ, Pietersen be if coaches were not forced to select black players? I wonder...

They would still be in the teams because they are/were awesome. Chiliboy wouldn't be though that is for sure.

Resistance to transform is as racist as demand for transformation.
I have seen years when there percentages of Afrikaans players have dropped and percentages of English players have increased. Is that conspiracy too? Or is that just the way nature develops talent some years. I think you and your kin should initiate a class action suit against mother nature.
So we should just leave it up to the system and hope black players come through?

We should understand that we have one of the greatest (if not the greatest) rugby teams on the planet. It doesn't matter what race the players are that are clearly there on merit (they are the best, you can't be the best if you're not there on merit). They are our team and we should be very proud of them.
I repeat stop seeing whites and blacks and start seeing South Africans.
When Bafana beat France in the SWC I was ecstatic. I didn't do what you do and go "there should be more white people in there!" I was just happy that my team had done something so amazing. Yes "my" team not "there" team" not "the black" team. MY TEAM. F**k race-obsessed South Africans.

Why would chilli not be? Capatin of the u21 team that won the world cup. He was selected infront of Bismarck and I think was world player that year for his age group. He's development has been stalled at the Bulls through typical south african coaching mindset. They selected Derick Kuun, a flank, and converted him to hooker instead if giving Chilli a chance. He sat on the bench the whole season behind an average hooker who would never get selected for South Africa anyway.

If the system is selecting on merit then yes. If, as you so firmly beleive that it is biased, then the system should be monitored. Force selection people to record and motivate their selections. Also score all candidates to give a common benchmark. Things can be done to ensure that a fair and equatable process is in place, without racist quotas.
Im sure most ordinary south africans feel the same. Unfortunately our Politicians do not, and until there is a drastic improvement they will always have something to whinge about.

Not quite - know the facts and don't assume. The decision was taken in consultation with and the full support of Chiliboy to move him to the 1st Div side because he had nagging injury issues and was mismanaged particularly by Jake White. He was over-played and not allowed to build strength and ability. The coaching staff at the BBRU together with Chiliboy discussed this issue in depth and paid particular attention to his concerns (persistent injuries that were never given full time to heal) and their concerns (mismanagement and stunted ability development). They agreed that remedial training with the 1st division and proper management and development would help Chiliboy to grow to fulfill the destiny that the BBRU and indeed SARU believe he is capable of: captian. Not only of the Bulls but also of the Boks.
And that is true commitment to transformation: finding the talent and developing it (not exploiting it for numbers like previous Bok selectors did). This is the problem with the transformation argument: it fast loses focus and becomes an us vs them and incident thing. I agree with the statement earlier that resistance to transformation is as racist as the demand for transformation. If the one is racist, so too is the other. If the other is not racist, then neither is the one.
