Cyberpunk 2077

I’ve been thinking about this too because I’m an indecisive person, and so far my thoughts are that the original artistic vision for the game didn’t include next-gen features, so those things will be nice add-ons but not essential to the spirit of the game. Their target spec was probably PS4 pro for consoles and a GTX 1060 for PC.

I think you should play it this December with the rest of us.
*grins* Ok dude. And Elon, I have to ask ... your surname isn't Musk, by any chance?

Nah, their current release date should be set in stone. They cannot possibly run back on promises made to the investors, which was strangely announced publicly, but okay, and hype it like AMD with attached horseschit which most people still believes, but then again, the last time they postponed the title their marketing team didn't know either, which is odd because that postponement was announced on the same socials…

I think this time around they will be as scheduled.

If it were, I’d probably not want the attention and scrutiny that would go with revealing the fact. But maybe if I hid in plain sight by using my actual name that would be humorously ironic. And then I’d make sure that whenever I posted I’d follow a set of rules to maintain both deniability if my account was ever discovered and muddy any attempt to decipher my actual thoughts on any specific topic that could land me in trouble , since the internet is forever. A secondary persona with different traits such as an IQ score 2 standard deviations lower and a different personal history.

But no, I’m not Elon Musk. It’s not like he suffers from the kind of insomnia that would lead to him posting on a forum in a different time zone, right?
I’m Elon Silverhand.

Not my kind of thing but the lady on the right is making it really difficult for my mammal brain not to find this interesting. Very, very interesting.
Funny that it was shared by the title's executive producer, almost like a endorsement. Just like the game the porn parody is still in production.

I think I read somewhere that Elon regularly doesn't bother sleeping if he's working on challenging problems. Sooooo ... still feasible. Elon Silverhand sounds like one of those names like Elon Glue...door...window...berry :P

Interesting. I wonder whether I shouldn't just hold off on playing the game until then. It's not like I'm going to play it twice, so surely the first time I play it it needs to be as good as it can be?

Then again, I would like to have a good game to play these December holidays. Decisions decisions ... anybody else on the fence?
I was holding off buying it for PS5 as it's still unclear whether my order will even be fulfilled this year, but after DrJohnZoidberg clarified the deal re its next gen credentials on consoles it seems I'll just have to pick it up for PC.

Does anyone know if mouse and keyboard will be supported on the console versions?

Initially when it was queried, more than a year ago, they said that they will take it under consideration which is neither a yes nor no.

Reminds me of this
Believe she's a Polish model named Kasia Danysz. She'll probably be retired by the time CP2077 releases.

Not that it would impact the pre-order decision that much, but I see that the Steam exclusive pre-order bonus was only recently announced.

When you pre-order on Steam you get a short story titled "2AM — She Calls" and when you pre-order on GOG you get a 50-page comic titled "Big City Dreams".

That is weird since the exclusives were used to drive sales to GOG. GOG still seems like the better deal and it doesn't require a pre-order.

I only read later that all GOG orders will include the comic book, including the physical copies. I don't know why their marketing is suddenly driving pre-order sales on Steam, the short story was announced 6 days ago as an exclusive.

Just last night I saw that Dr Disrepect will indeed be in the game and apparently not in a minor way which is interesting because there were legal concerns with his likeness, amongst other things, in terms with his streaming contracts. I wouldn't be surprised that this may have been a reason which caused a launch postponement.

It is like CDPR made Cyberpunk 2077 as a Twitch/YouTube rewind, and I have also seen various game 'reviewers' publicly announcing being in the game.

The one dev had a 175hrs playthrough, or so the guy who made the video said. My most recent playthrough was AC: Origins which took me around 70hrs to do like 99.95% completion, the story (incl. DLC) probably at the most interactive pace took around 25-30hrs. I am curious how a playthrough could take 175hrs because it could indicate a possible grind... maybe is a very big game, but didn't they say a while ago that is shorter than The Witcher 3?

I'm also on the fence about what to do but I'm just going to wait for the comparisons (Digital Foundry) and will decide then. I really want it on console though.
