I am surprised that GOG is still selling to other regions, the Russian/CIS pricing workaround have been used since GOG introduced regional pricing, and it is openly discussed on their own Reddit and on their own website. It is also discussed on Steam. They know, but clearly don't care, and some are in the opinion that it due to CDPR being anti-DRM and allegedly 'pro'-piracy. They should localise all pricing to the Russian/CIS region.

Steam, Origin, Ubi, Epic, etc. have all patched this workaround. Steam will even suspend your account, pending, but the Steam Marketplace is essentially a gambling room. Naming Epic, it was priced on Epic $29.99 not too long ago, but the price has since changed and SA is a pricing region now.

I don't think anybody cares as much over individuals getting games cheaper than people buying them and then selling at the full price which is why they fixed that loophole. GOG does not have SA and many regions that publishers are pricing games for so enforcing it would not go down well. I don't pick the cheapest option though but one region to buy everything from that is similar to our economy.

This is the kind of thing that put me off initially, but I’m hoping that the love for Witcher 3 means that there’s more to CDPR than “defecation in the morning sun” type humor.

Pretty pointless to pre-download if there's a 45gb day one patch... Series X already started the pre-download last week which was about 56gb

Not really. It means you have 45GB and not 120GB to download.

Size really doesn't matter me. I have a 1gb uncapped fibre line. I could probably download the patches faster than they can get them uploaded. It's just about knowing its there installed, you know. Already have leave booked, snack platters ordered. Making the most of this.
