Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberrunner - a Bladerunner like Reshade
This Reshade brings back the darker colder Bladerunner vibe to Cyberpunk 2077

Love how someone calls a reshade a mod. It isn't really, but I guess it is. It is just effects processing...

Who called it a mod, all I see mentioned is the word reshade.

Anyways I tried it and it's too dark for me even with the lighter preset and it chows like 6fps which I can't spare.

The Ultra Enhanced Reshade looks much nicer to me and virtually no performance hit.

I decided against modding.
I've just progressed too far to lose it all now.

WeMod works when I need it.

Spent about 10 hours running around the city (Yes, on foot) trying to find some interesting stuff,
(There aren't any just by the way. Honestly. Don't waste your time.) and ran into a invisible wall.

Nice.

Anybody seen rain in the game?

Dynamic weather seems amiss...
Yep. Quite a lot before Johnny comes into the picture.

I've fought a few battles with major graphical glitches. Baddies standing inside a dumpster or car or wall.

I have realised that I am playing this like a RPG more than a FPS. Sure it is a RPG, but I prefer the story and using the tech. When it comes to actual gunfights, I don't want to spend 3 minutes attempting to kill 2 guys.

If the damage level was more, almost like the One Hit Kill in WeMod, then I wouldn't mind the FPS aspect.

Think I have seen everything I need to see with a 144 H play through.

Got my ending with the avocados, so my ending was not that meh.
Still smaak the "SMART" weapons in the game, was fun.

Too bad Barry still can't speak.

All in all - 8/10. Still not sure what all the hype was about. Catherine full body had more depth in its story.

Time to get going with Animal Crossing again, I see they have a new years thing.

Ok so I dropped 50+ hours into this and completed the main storyline with Johnny & Rogue doing the final sequence.

My thoughts on this game are mixed. I was frustrated for the longest time with crashes on my PC. The NVidia drivers that were "optimised for Cyberpunk" seem to have had the biggest role to play in this and since doing a fresh install of later drivers the complete crashes have improved significantly, but I still get the odd crash to desktop with Cyberpunk asking for me to send a bug report. Over and above this, I experienced, like everyone, many glitches and issues, graphical inconsistencies, some really stupid AI etc. These are the bad parts about Cyberpunk.

When I was doing the Parade mission, I had to stop and marvel at how atmospheric it felt, how much I was enjoying the storyline at that point in time - it was incredible! The sounds, the lighting, the set pieces - just everything was awesome! With the ending I had, it was kind of bittersweet, and I'm really keen to get back in there, do a few side missions, get some more loot and cash, and go finish the other ending options. Not sure I will start from scratch - don't think I have the stomach for it.

I just can't help but feel how AMAZING I think this game would have been, if I didn't have to suffer through the crashes and glitches and dumb AI to get to the end. I feel like there needed to be more bosses, more legendary items 'out in the world' as opposed to being readily available to purchase if you have insane gold. I also didn't get to tech out a tree properly, and finished the first play through at level 28ish or something, I think. It would have been good if there could have been a bit more mandatory content to make you tech out a bit more, and I think playing on 'normal' was actually really easy. In some respects I guess this adds to the replayability of the game, but as I say I don't think its worth the pain right now.

I'm looking forward to them releasing some serious patches when they all get back from holidays, and I believe we should also be expecting the first free DLC at some point in January? So ja, time for a break, and looking forward to coming back to a more polished game soon to tech a bit more and do some fresh content.

Literally not one crash in my experience and i have 65 hours in the game, currently on my 2nd play through.

Why do NPC's do a backflip in front of my car when i drive close to them, I get Night City is a depressing place to live but geez.

I've had a few when I quit the game.
Nothing in-game though.

The game does have independent bosses, or mini-bosses to be apt. There are Cyberpsychos, and their hardness to beat entirely depends on your level. Only story DLC will add more story bosses.

Free DLC... looking at The Witcher 3,

DLC drop 1:

Armour (Temerian)
Beard and hair styles (barber)

DLC drop 2:

Alternative Yennefer style
New Contract (Missing Miners)

DLC drop 3:

Armour (Nilfgaardian)
Weapons Set (Crossbow

Then I don't know the order, DLC drop ?

New Quest (Fool's Gold)
GWENT card set (Ballad Heroes)
New Quest (Scavenger Hunt) / Armour (Wolf School Gear)
Alternative Triss style
New Quest (Skellige's Most Wanted)
Alternative Ciri style
Quest (Where the Cat and the Wolf play...)
New Finisher Animations

Lastly they added New Game+ mode

All in all, IIRC, they added 5 hours gameplay in total and added new game+ to explore a new game with a current character.

Free DLC in Cyperpunk will likely include new styles appropriate to everyone who may be romanced, but likely limited to the longer term options like Judy, Panam, River and Kerry.

Gang related armour is a likelihood, Maelstrom like body mods maybe, and a barber (people really want to change their hair styles at the moment), and More legendary weapons.

More Gigs and NCPD missions, and a new side mission or three.

More animations, like being run over by a car which has a single generic animation, take down animations (cough ala Deus Ex), and so on.

New Game+ will again drop last, and when they have their save game issue under control because something isn't right with how game state's are stored especially when it has been exploited.

There are many things in the game world which are uncompleted like the rail system and underwater mechanics, amongst other. This will maybe come with new story DLC which will be paid content where they may even expand on the parkour mechanics (which is also highly in demand by the community, Mirror's Edge style).

....come this Monday I'm still waiting on a refund (going 3 weeks then). It now seems 15+ days is the norm. Look I know its new year, old year and covid, but even steam with doom x dac wasn't this bad. They at least replied every 72 hours.

Sigh. I liked gog as a storefront, but googling "long wait support and/or refund" brings up the same topic. Their support is just not there (yet).

I had it on my wishlist, but skipped it because I had other games to play. Currently, I am hoarding more than I am playing. I have better things to hoard than games in these dire times.
Same, I try not to overdo it with sales looking at my current unplayed list and then as you say... RSA x Covid. Time will tell how 2021 goes with yet another lockdown. I do feel for those in the mix and lockdowns hampering their income. If I've learnt anything by now is that that which seems to be safe (and permanent) can change in an instance.

Meh, don't even. Both GOG and CDPR have been cleaning up threads where people are listing their grievances with how GOG’s processing these requests. I have been keeping an eagle eye on these developments. Just show how that being the ‘good guy’ doesn’t always mean pro-consumerism, but I have brought this up many a time.

Remember how this was embraced and lauded, and right here on Mybroadband I even had a lol at this,

https://www.gog.com/news/gogs_updated_refund_policy_has_your_back_even_more

GOG’S UPDATED REFUND POLICY HAS YOUR BACK (EVEN MORE)

Everyone at GOG believes in a 'gamers-first’ approach. It means that every part of our store is designed with gamers in mind and your purchase safety and satisfaction come first for us. The latest update to our voluntary Refund Policy adds another piece to this customer-friendly experience. And it all sums up in one sentence: starting now, you can get a full refund up to 30 days after purchasing a product, even if you downloaded, launched, and played it. That's it.

It’s important for us to say that this update is possible thanks to your respect for all the time and hard work put into creating the games you buy on GOG.COM and playing by the rules. We're grateful for that and encourage you to continue to do so.

This is why I cannot live up to any hype and good guy campaigning any more. I don't trust anyone in any case.
