I've been with them for longer than a year and never been throttled before, I have a normal capped account, so should not be throttled.

It's not throttling they have capacity issues as usual, that's why I am looking for a different ISP Webafrica's new Home Uncapped looks good. It's not worth complaining about the problem to them cause they will either ignore you, say it's a problem on your side or tell you there's nothing they can do. As I have said in the other 2 threads there has been a major problem with Cybersmart for the last 5 months where some things just don't download at all.

At the moment my anti-virus (Eset Smart Security) won't update cause of a problem with Cybersmart something to do with DNS perhaps? ..anyway I can change to my free Afrihost account and it would update perfectly, so it's obviously a problem with Cybersmart.

Webafrica's Home uncapped goes for R279 and you will get basically the same amount of bandwidth that you get from Cybersmart without the issues.

I may have a problem with ssl connections being blocked or slow.

You wouldn't think so, after reviewing this 19 pages of current complaints about their connectivity....

http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/358438-WA-what-is-going-on

That thread was made way before the uncapped package even came out and at least Webafrica handled the situation appropriately, Cybersmart don't communicate anymore not that they ever really did.

Stick to your cyber**** and AltechCrap and TrilSuck ISPs, and stop polluting the other popular ISP threads with your biased opinion. Personally I have seen you pollute WA, M-Web and Afrihost threads, really disgusts me.

And what happened to this?

Northern Pretoria. 1mb capped account. Never had an issue, running torrents now, going full speed. Traditionally low seed full season torrents go bad for me. Current thing has 10 seeds, 10 episodes, and its going like a dream!

Hi

We have no problems at the moment. This is not to say there is not a problem with this particular account. It is difficult to analyse because I do not have a trace or an ip number that is allocated.

You can email me @ [email protected] and I will sort it out for you.

Regards

Laurie
