Cybersmart reduces uncapped ADSL prices

The R375 10Mb uncapped option looks tempting. :)

Telkom has just upgraded our exchange from 4Mb to 10Mb.
I am currently on 4Mb uncapped for R339 at Webafrica, they want R699 for 10Mb uncapped.

Not keen to change my ISP like some people do every other month, will stay on 4Mb and rather wait for Webafrica to come to the party as I don't have any issues with my connection, not wanting to fix what isn't broken.

Been using their 10mb uncapped bundle for years now. Easily the best performing account I've ever used with the exception of capped, unshaped accounts.

Sorry just checked their technical info.. they display the contention ratio as 15:1 for the home uncapped.

5:1 for everything else. but what gets me is that business uncapped is also managed untill 12:30 AM in the morning. so no thanks. i will be going to afrihost. i heared they don't do management on business uncapped. and the price is cheaper too.

Admirable what Cybersmart is doing, but that won't get me to move.
On a sobering note, is Afrihost still playing at plotting their clients? They shpuld their fingers out and announce their new prices already!

Hi guys,

Any other views on Cybersmart. I'm also tempted but would like to hear more about their shaping policy, throttling etc.

Colour me skeptical regarding those ratios. Hell the underlying ADSL network is generally 20+
