So are all current Weekender subscribers being moved over or just the users who've been notified?
10.32 Gigs used in NightRider time on the weekend (1am-7:59am).
16.16 Gigs used during weekender (Midnight Fri -5:59am Mon).
I'd like to know which part of it is the abusive bit?
i believe the weekend usage add up to : 26.48GB's,
i'd say that's close to the 27GB's
One can only hope Cybersmart will do the proper thing, and address this issue, the way it should have been done from the start. By talking to their customers and being upfront about how they expect a service(free usage on weekender) to be used. To be punishing customers after the fact, is unethical. To be saying "to your hearts content" without any notice to the contrary, implies "unlimited" and I think the Advertising Standards Authority of SA would agree.
Jtr, you missed the point completely. For them to address the issue by being upfront about how they expect us to use free usage on weekends is a contradiction itself. In all fairness, they should not dictate or even recommend the extent of usage. Even if they did bothered addressing the issue and communicated to us timely, they are still wrong to bring it up.
I don't think I have. I understand Cybersmart's view point on the question of why, but I don't agree at all with the manner how they went about doing what they did. If I knew the service came with limits, I would have done my downloads differently.
If there's a 20 GB limit, then set up a hard cap on 'out of hours' time on 20GB.
Or throttle after 20GB.
Or tell people they are not allowed to do what was said they could.
The problem in SA is that if you tell people you are offering a 20GB service, they will make sure that they use 20GB so as not to lose out.
