Rings/Gloves - sometimes CDR is better than CD and CC. (shock, horror!)

Im going to do some looking around online to see if I can find further guidance on the shield vs set issue.

I already have max CDR selected for my P levels
That shouldnt be an issue, going to re-roll that vit into CDR
Might re-roll my gloved CHD into CDR?

That should give me another +- 15-20%, right?

I have picked up/gambled every shield in the bloody game... multiple times, but not the one I need! So frustrating!
 
That f-ing blessed shield build...I've picked up like sooo many.

What's also weird is that right in the beginning I picked up 2 of the condemn shields and now I haven't got one since! Shields are incredibly hard to roll well for me. There's its block rate, CC, Wrath regen, CDR, condemn damage, str, vit, AR...all good stuff.

I'll probably also reroll the CD on my gloves to CDR seeing as I cant seem to get a new pair of Akhans gloves (Got 3 rolands last night though :mad: )

Finally got my Akkhan chest, now I just need to pickup SABATONS OF AKKHAN. Im still using RoRG (for now) so once I have those boots I will have the 6 set bonus. Currently on about 48% CDR, which is great. As soon as I go that 6 set bonus, I can roll out that RCR into some more damage.

Jaco gave me a Heart Slaughter which gives me a lekker +28% to physical skills (ponies). Bracers add another 19% so on +47% for physical right now. Lekker for the ponies.

Managed to get a Leoric Crown from Stu, so that is certainly helping with my CDR atm.

Using Nemesis Bracers until I get some Strong Arm bracers for the +20-30% damage effect. That is gonna be nice coz it stacks.

So getting there, but Im doing really massive dps numbers when those ponies just stream across the screen... :D

Note: Champion and Law currently on the incorrect RUNE. Was messing around and forgot to change back

Looks pretty damn solid, that's a really good shield you got. I have no advice to offer.

I havent got a Leorics crown yet, but I haven't been gambling for one either. I got the unity on my one finger and a sweet SoJ on my other, so I dunno how I'm gonna fit in the RoRG.

Edit: If you keen we can do a run together so we can see each others builds in action.
 
Oh, what will you use to proc your strongarm bracers? I have a pair but I'll probably only run it in groups and swap my condemn rune to vacuum.

Thanks man, been putting in a lot of effort and reading etc etc. I love my shield, it rolled that CDR on the 2nd roll, and its got a MASSIVE list of stats that it can roll. Its cray-cray :D

Definitely keen, will let you know when Im on again
 
OK, I was wondering if the phalanx proc'd the bracer, I kinda figured so cause I've seen a lot of top saders using it.

I've been stocking some physical skill gear, if I get a furnace I'm building a pony sader for sure. It's so awesome having 2 really powerful builds available to us.
 
Finally got my boots last night, now I'm 5/6 just need the helm. Though I would need to toss leorics and not sure if I wanna do that...

Tested quick last night and I'm down out of AC for about 5 sec before I can activate it again.

Been running with prophet and Gees it makes a massive difference. Gives plus 150 percent armor. Thinking maybe I should swap the AR in my plevels for armor rather?

100 AR vs 400 armour
Modified for the bonus thats 1000 armour

Which means you've only equalled the eHP you would've had from just sticking with AR

Guess I'm switching to armour then...

I didn't realise that armor helped with poison and all that stuff

I just said its equal... :confused: Why would you switch to armour?? Keep the AR, let your strength sort out your armour and then be free to use other AC runes if you have enough survivability
 
For paragon points I went AR 1st and now I'm stacking it into % life. I think we have armor from strength already.

Gratz on finishing your set. Leorics crown is probably where it's at I wouldn't be too concerned with replacing it. I haven't got one myself but I have a nice SoJ and I wanna run the unity ring while solo so I'm not gambling for it yet.

What I did at a stage was run Laws of Justice and when my AC was about to end I would pop the law just to give me that bit of extra toughness while my AC was down.

sorry about that, was on my mobile while I was at the hospital and wasnt reading correctly.

Did a quick test, and the difference is MASSIVE.

There are some schools of thought that you must get the helm, toss the Leoric Crown. then coz you have all 6 you can toss the RoRG. My RoRG actually sucks balls, but Im bound to it right now for the 6 set bonus. Wanna do some cache runs tonight as I think I need keys as well!! :eek:

And running T6 cache runs you guaranteed of a leg drop, right?? (think I read that somewhere, its newish)

managed to get my Physical Damage up to +67% thanks to a new Amulet that dropped last night actually. Played for about an hour!

AgentSmith was kind enough to pass on a Stone of Jordan, which I have sitting in my stash until such time I can roll it +physical. If I can get a decent roll that would take me to almost +87% Physical :D

Not to mention the +Damage to Elites as well! Things are looking good!
 
If you can get a decent strongarm bracer you going to be in serious business.
