My D5 Evo Electric gate was fine , one morning when I tried to open it i got a message motor fault. Disconnected.

I checked all wires and installed a new battery. Give motor direct power and it work fine. When I tried to restart the gate motor I got Set limits... Doing the reset limit steps it give me a warning on the screen:

Motor Fault : Disconnected

Please help me . What can be wrong here.

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
Fuses look in order
The Dos Sensor wires is checked and I took out the front cover at the Dos switch . No dirt and all look fine at the counter wheel.

The only thing I can found is the earth wire is very lose on the control box ...

If you know what you are doing , ensure power is off and check all cables and fuses. You say the motor runs fine with direct, then there is a break in circuit which between the trigger or sensor to the motor, it either thinks its not there or is expecting a response/draw from something. Check the signal lead from the motor to controller. If that lead works and triggers, then possibly your board is gone.

I had exactly the same fault today.
Shorted the motor to battery - works but the sound was not consistent with a good motor, even though it turned.
Replaced control board and the new one gave the same error - put the old one back.
Replaced the green plug - same error.
Checked the fuse - all good

All I can think is that the motor is somehow faulty even though it turns??

I have a same problem with the gate motor, its written motor faulty disconnected,i your help i tried by all means nothing only error,

depending on the age, it could be the brushes worn? (DC motor?)

IMG_20240306_154854.jpgthats your problem.

The reason your evo was giving you a motor error was because of that connector. If you changed that connector it would have worked

The controller card is not recognising the motor. It needs a 100 ohm resistance from the motor coil
