Dead calls & crossed lines between MTN & Cell C subscribers

Over the last 2 months, I've been experiencing dead calls and crossed lines between MTN and Cell C numbers. I have a Cell C prepaid SIM card, and most (if not all) of the problems occur when I receive calls from MTN numbers. 2 days ago MTN finally resolved the problem.

I'm based in Lenasia, and most of the problems seem to have occurred here, but I've experienced the same issues elsewhere in Joburg, though to a lesser extent.

I'd just like know if there is anyone else out there that is experiencing or has experienced similar issues?

The latest from MTN, explaining the problem:

The problem was localised to certain users hanging off a cluster of base stations. The problem would have been picked up both ways if calls came across this link (i.e. from CELLC to MTN and vice versa).

I have asked for further details, and will post them here if/when I receive it.
