DStv via satellite only goes up to 1080i, which is mostly normal worldwide. So your media box beats that.Which of the two will have the better picture quality?
Well, I wanted to say media box always wins, BUT streaming on the web from DSTv at 1080, vs any other streaming service, the other service will win, EVERY timeI have a question, lets assume I have two 1080p TV's side by side.
One is hooked up to an explorer with HDMI and gets its signal via the dish.
The other is using streaming via a media box on HDMI.
Lets also assume that the dish is at 100% quality/signal strength and the streaming app/internet is working flawlessly.
Which of the two will have the better picture quality?
I have an explora 2? (it has a glow in the dark remoteCan anyone here get the new Muslim channel 345 INX Prime on their Explora or basic HD decoders?
MC seem to be really messing up here. It's a SD only channel, but on one of the even-higher frequency transponders that are so far all still blocked as always on my Explora 1.
Works fine on older SD decoders (shows a countdown clock until Wed. launch). Seems for all packages (not certain about EasyView).
How many more new channels are destined for this 11 928V transponder? Until now these are only used for rest of Africa's regional channels.
Thanks man. Maybe I have faulty software or it's Explora 1 related, will investigate.I have an explora 2? (it has a glow in the dark remote) and I get the countdown on 345.
Also have a 2A ... Countdown here as wellThanks man. Maybe I have faulty software or it's Explora 1 related, will investigate.
Thanks. It's looking like a software issue, only the two highest frequencies and things have got stuck on this unit before. Also have a 2A ... Countdown here as well

Very likely their software, but since it is regular for you now then also likely it can only be sorted by getting a new unit... which hopefully doesn't also end up going west.
Don't worry, they've gone woke so you're not missing anything. So far it's not even a comedy anymore..(I've just seen they are airing s3 of The Orville on 1Magic. Another show I can forget about continuing to watch in the future then)
The problem with that is it's not channel based. A lot of their more "premium" stuff is subscription only.So.
Those wanting the eTV channels' content online, it's free here: https://watch.evod.co.za/
Must join to access content. It's in partnership with MTN but accepts other cellphone numbers too.
They also offer some sort of subscription, but why isn't clear. Maybe no ads then.
If anyone finds they also have live streaming online please post (I don't use apps).

And how do they think they're going to explain to everyone with the Movies Plus option that they're losing 1 of their 3 staple diet channels now??
Wow!
Why I won't fall for these. Struggled enough to get them to reverse charges when I took one of their specials but got charged full price. Even got a threatening SMS from one of their credit collectors because of it. How can you be behind on a prepaid service? Dstv seems to take that if for 3 months a subscription isn't paid in full it's 3 months behind where legally old debt is settled first. It's thus can't even be behind technically.Just finished a free month upgrade reward on a subscription, didn't correct itself. Checked my account online - I've been charged for the higher package now.
Unbelievable.
