Website still working for me.

This is typical though - through the years the strange situation of one working but the other not has often been seen.
Maybe @BCR will also come right later, who knows
Yes, and now after that message I click back on all channels but can't scroll ... only see the top 3 rows

No scroll bar either ...

I got Stream going in Kodi (on Android TV) ; sure I could do the same in Kodi on the phone.

Was wrong about reliance on logging into Stream on a phone, for it to work on Android TV ; therefore now have the Stream app running on TV without needing the phone app, though would prefer it, as well.

I liked Stream on Kodi, but deleted it after a bit of testing - want things in Kodi to work at an arm's length from anything related to DStv.

Will try installing Stream app on the phone again, next few days or in a week's time & see if it can work the way it should for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Brian_G off the dstv train,

Don’t know if dtt is active? I tried using sentechs map, but just like everything else in this country , it’s broken

Was trying to pm you, but let’s see if I can talk about it without dropping myself into too much shyte

I still have unit from the days gone by, that was a replacement for the analog 2 channel device that a company that shall not be named was going to release into the wild

At home ( years before Covid) I was never able to get a signal of any sorts for the DTT stuff, was hoping there would be an up to date coverage map to see if it was worth stringing up Ariel with some cable to see if this box still lives

OMFG - has subsequently logged me out of Stream on Android TV as well, after about 2 to 3 minutes.

It's requesting a new code.

GFU, DStv !!

You are starting to make me nervous. :)

The old lady who's DSTV app I look after hopefully behaves itself. Not looking forward to making at trip to go and sort it out. If I do have to make the trip, I want to at least know, I am not wasting my time and petrol.

I seem to be the only one in SA affected by this (so far) ; can only put it down to a programming glitch related to my account.

What else can it be ?

At least you'll have had a heads-up if she starts to experience similar issues - just tell her nothing can be done, and you therefore don't need to drive out for nothing.

Only other course of action I feel, now, is to delete Kodi from my phone, reinstall it & only get the Stream add-on working in it ; that way, still use it independently anything else.

Only negative is I don't think you can resume where you last left off in an episode, like you can in the official smartphone app.

At least asking for a new code is actually a sign things might be on the mend, they seem to do things like that after some sort of system reset.
(Another one is their webpages - then asks you yet again if they can force extra cookies down your throat. On Showmax too.)

I don't know enough further about DTT so your guess is as good as mine. If Geoff hasn't added by tomorrow you could try PM him. The only other guy who seemed up to date about it left the forum months ago.

I don't keep PM's open, too many wild characters here  but have for you now.

Website is getting really thick now - after rewinding something on M-Net a few minutes, when I went back to Live it then told me I've reached my streaming limit!

Maybe, but I don't hold out much hope unless they actively do something about it.

I don't believe they think anything's wrong, to be bothered, unless they've some automated system in place that picks up faults, and notifies some dept or other about them ?

They monitor every channel carefully 24/7 at their Command (final control) centre, but they still don't seem to have a lot of feedback mechanism for public reported faults, as we all know the call centre is more than a bit dof.

Kodi shows us how long the time-out is scheduled to (normally) last - under 90 seconds, mostly about 60 to 70 secs., so if you wait that long you shouldn't need to keep trying which seems to reset it again.

great, tried it today and seems to work.
Not sure how this enhances their security, but whatever...

Decided to test their claim tonight that they have shortened the live-delay on live streaming TV, by comparing the dstv.stream site to satellite. Used Carte Blanche on M-Net since it's likely to be busy.
Note that I have a good 20Mbps connection and was only testing at about 720p max.

Good news:
Only 10 seconds between the two.
No buffering at all.

Bad news:
After a few minutes the quality went to shyte, seldom recovered after and not for long...... so that's how they're keeping it "stable".

Sis Multichoice, you tell fibs.

They used to have a forum for public feedback, remember :D ?

_ _ _ ietjie once told me that senior management aren't interested in hearing our complaints, I said we'll make them hear it. A few months later the forum was "suspended for enhancements" 🤐

Okay - the basic details but doubt it will help anybody.

Account was upgraded & downgraded too many times in a short period. The final downgrade, which was a big one, never happened. System then said next amount was only due on Jan. 1st in the year "0001" , lol.

The next day that had corrected, but still no downgrade and system claims there's 10 days of credit being given which isn't done by MC at all, so... who knows
There had been earlier errors as well.

Any questions? Tough if there are :X3:

So, this free-Premium mistake ended today, turns out their system had mixed up the order of new instructions for my friend's account.
The pleasant surprise is they accepted it's their fault and are doing a full refund.

Having drama with extraview at my folks place.

explora 3a , singleview 5s ( None have rf for heartbeat, as far as i understand it now goes via the LNB) primary sends HB, but the 5s isnt receiving , changed the LNB, changed the cabling, phoned dstv, broke extraview, relinked , but each time it works for an hour or two , and then the secondary goes back to e143-0

anyone with any idea's?
