Decoder software upgrade

The scheduled recordings page has always been there, since the very 1st software. You should browse around more often ;)
 
I am happy with the speed increase and the trickmodes are a lot better but I am not happy about the i-plate being in the middle of the screen like that

I'm sure it used to be lower. There is now a massive gap at the bottom even with the the current and next 2 shows showing

He probably did before but the pvr took so long to respond to the remote that he assumed there was nothing more there.
 
This honestly actually intrigues me....


MC have provided an update for what, 3 hardware specifications... and they can't make the software behave properly on them. I've heard of some bad coding and testing departments, but MCs seem to take the cake EVERY time.

(I haven't checked my HDPVR yet, so will give feedback when I do)
 
Mines way faster, hasn't rebooted, or hung once,

Tv guide is nice and quick as well!

Not sure what you mean about the iplate, post a pic?
 
Any one know how to force the update again or maybe reset to factory defauls, mines is totalaly F-uped! like i said before it works fine for a few minutes after reboot and then just refuses to acept any command from the remot or even if i press the buttons on the decoder. called DSTV they recomend bringing it in for testing befire i disconect everthing and take it to them want to try and sort it out. and if i take it to them i am not willing to pay since its there update that messed it up in the first place.

Its the pace 4 tuner HD pvr by the way
 
My Pace 4p tuner seems to be faster and looks better
 
My HD-PVR (4 tuner) is nice and snappy now. Upgrade seems pretty decent.

I had several reboots in the last few days with my UEC 4P PVR. Hope this is a thing of the past now.
The PVR does feel more responsive.

Unfortunately I'm still having the constant reboots, tho at times when its not rebooting the response timing is pretty good, gonna be phoning multichoice again since I'm not the only one experiencing this problem and ask if they have a better solution than "bring it in for testing..."

They don't. Been down this road so many times before.

They should test their software before they unleash it on their captive public.
 
wow just got off the phone to multichoice, both people I spoke to have yet to hear of the issue I'm currently having, want to say I'm shocked but not really surprised and no real help besides taking it in for testing was actually given, tho now I should take both the HD pvr and SD pvr in >.>

yep if on xtraview both decoders need to be taken in, if they swap out one they need to re-link both
 
Deleting of recordings is now super fast, I don't like the font size, they need to change it back, also the info bar is too far away from the bottom of the screen they need to move that down again.
 
I can see definite improvements on my Pace 4P PVR: FF and RW feel more controlled, and deleting recordings seem quicker. However, it seems that series recording is acting up, where it records multiple repeats of the same episode (I had S01E02 of Masterchef on twice, same for other items). Has anybody else seen this?

I experienced the same with series recordings.. what I did notice was that it would record the HD version, as well as the SD version of certain series...
Other than that, I am pleased with the improvement and the new look... it is refreshing...

The upgrade caused the series recording history to be lost - for the first week you will have episodes being recorded that were already recorded before the upgrade - but from the 2nd week all should be back to normal.

This should not be possible since the series recording is linked to a specific channel - unless there are series recordings set on each of the different channels. Maybe just check again. If this did happen you should post it on the MC forum since nothing like this has been reported to them since the upgrade.
