Defy Water Dispenser Problem

Okay so this is driving me crazy, bought a new fridge and it arrived today.

Everything is good except for some reason when I add water into the nozel to use the water dispenser it just leaks out. It's supposed to stay then only come through when you press a glass against the lever. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

Now ,it's not super important but it's convenient and an easy way to get ice water also I assume it should work.

I'm not sure what it's happening, there's no other gadget that came with the fridge so I assume it's supposed to just work

It's leaking from the part where the water is supposed to come out from.

It usually is supposed to stay in the fridge until the lever is pressed to release the water

The lever you press is attached to a spring-loaded, conical shaped valve which engages a soft plastic housing in the water tank

It could be a moulding problem with the valve or the spring has become misplaced. One side of the door moulding has to be released to view this unit. A bit fiddly. Careful with the plastic clips

So are you saying this new fridge water dispenser is damaged? :/
