Demon's Souls - PS3 RPG

Cool! Also beat Flamelurker last night - was a pretty tough fight, but i do think the Purple Flame Shield helped a LOT, I think those blasts of his would have fried me if i didn't have that shield.

I'm also now contemplating which area to take on next. Which area's the Dragon God in?
 
He is found just after the flamelurker. Go down the passage until you reach the fog. Make sure you wield your weapon 2 handed. Your shield will be useless in this fight. Also be prepared to die alot.

I assume that you are also on the PS3za network. What alias do you go by? Mine is the same. Also can I add you as friend? Busy talking to Dark Soul and would like to do some DS co-op.

There is an inFamous bundle going around for R4600. Very good game. U can also pick up mgs4 for R350.
 
Question: Once the US (and later the UK) versions come out, will we be able to play on the same servers as you guys?

No to the NA version. Atlus said that the NA version will play on a separate server. Not sure about the EU version though.

I don't think it matters. It may only depend on whether you want to join some of your specific local friends, so if they've got an Asian copy and you NA, then no dice, and also vice versa.
 
Kage, i'd wait about 2 weeks or so to get some clarity on when/whether a PS3 price drop/slim is close to launching. The slim is looking more likely each day so i'm sure it's coming, just a question of when...;)
 
Depends how long you want to wait. When the NA version gets released, it will still be quite expensive which you will pay about the same as what you will pay now. Only thing is that you will get a bundled strategy guide with a game box and manual in english.

Once it reaches SA (No confirmed date yet, I expect another year from now), it will be about the same price here.

Bottom line, if want to play now and with your friends, get it NOW. R725 is not an expensive investment especially the amount of time it will suck from you. Believe me, I have already put in 50HRs and only had the game for 2 weeks! :eek:

That's true. And you're sure to find any strategy you're looking for online in any case, and with no EU release even planned at this stage, i'd also recommend to just get it now.

I'm on about 30 hours in on the game, and already i can see the potential for replay's going to be huge. I'm not giving much thought to world tendencies with this playthrough, so 2nd playthrough i'll try to max out both black and white world tendencies.

They say the real Demon's Souls starts from the 2nd playthrough onwards. It is going to be harder. :eek: It is already hard! Co-op is going to be a must from New Game+. Also for each consecutive playthrough ie. New Game++, +++, it gets more challenging. We need a SA group to help each other! Checkout PS3za, we are all there as well. :cool:
 
Kerrrang! Have you tried Maneater? He is quite a challenge. Area 4 is quite easy IMO. Just getting to the boss in 4-2 is a little difficult. Area 5-2 seems a little challenging and need a change in tactic. Going to do 1-4 last. There is a blue dragon that flames you as you pass the bridge. Eish!

No, haven't had a chance to play any further yet. I basically replayed the start of 4-2 over and over a couple of times just to farm a bit. I think i'm on level 45 or so atm.

I must say that the Fool's Idol boss and the Adjudicator were pretty easy.
Is Maneater the 4-2 boss?

No. 4-2 is the OLD HERO, 3-2 is the Maneater. The boss for 3-3 is a joke. Just a black phantom. Sometimes it gets controlled by a player.
