I tried stopping a while ago. Went fine until I hit a stress period, then it went tits up.
The wife is starting to think she's not desirable or that I'm getting it somewhere else, hence the need to fix it.
Hey man, feeling a bit better today? I have never experienced depression so have no idea what you are going through but I hope you are feeling a bit better today.Thanks.
Need to get back on the meds
Just feels like life has fell apart, been so stressful at work with a multi billion rand project.
Ill little one, more stress and the thinking of nothing more
I was googling bromazepam and aggression and came across this link. Am I reading this right that this medication can push you over the edge?

My husband's depression was making a comeback and the doctor prescribed him bromazepam (6mg I think) . The next day he turned into a monster and it didn't end well. He got home from work yesterday and he was fine. He took a bromazepam around six, and a bit later I could see him becoming irritable and a bit angry. Could there be a link between this medication and his monster episode ?
His antidepressant dosage was also adjusted so I just don't know. I can't even begin to describe how irrational he was. Last year it was simvastatin that messed with his mind, but it was nothing compared to this episode.(Disclosure - I've been on Bromazepam, Lorazepam and of course Diazepam and I don't recall any of them making me aggressive. But then I was addicted to them so perhaps I don't remember)
I'm wondering if the cause of your husband's monster episode was perhaps a product of the underlying cause of his depression? You say it occured the day after he was put on Bromazepam..could be the chemical hadn't had time to work properly?
Cipralex. I think it may just be the bromazepam though, because my son asked me a little while ago, why was dad angry again yesterday. He's usually the calmest person unless his depression flares up and then a dosage adjustment of his antidepressant soon has him feeling himself again. He sticks to the minimum dosage when he's feeling good so he can always increase it when he needs to.If it is in fact the Bromazepam that is causing your husband's aggression, I'd say that's a pretty rare reaction to a benzo. Looking at the link you sent, there are many other drugs generally involved as well, and who knows what underlying conditions those particular people have in the first place.
But it's impossible to say, really. What is his other medication?
I was switched to serdep and dosage increased about a month ago. But this month has been absolutely schit. So I can't really say if it's working or not. I'm very angry and upset but I believe that's because of what's going on right nowAny progress guys?
Yup. Very often I'm tempted to tell people who tell my husband that he doesn't need antidepressants that they should stop taking their own medication for their various ailments.Robert Sapolski briefly discusses his depression...
Starts at 1:30:30 (Sam has just asked him about taking drugs to which he answers....)

Serdep took an absolute age to kick in for me. On 100mg for around 6 months now. Thinking of tapering off.I was switched to serdep and dosage increased about a month ago.
