Sorry to hear man. When it comes to cars (anything) nothing is cheap.
What car was/is it btw & what was the final strew that sent it to the grave?
Since I am quite private, all I am gonna say is that it was an old Suzuki.
A bearing has spun, and consequently failed on the crank. It is NOT a cheap repair.
The thrust bearing failed because the clutch is horribly offset and there's smoke and extreme heat and it dies when you step on the clutch (or what's left of it).
It's 16 years old, so it's done.
I am making a plan for another car. So that will be sorted sometime soon.
I saw the therapist yesterday and it was a very long session, and very hectic on me, I didn't even bother going online last night, I took pain meds for my back spasm and fell asleep somewhere around 9:30.
We had someone resign from work, and today a chance meeting with them ended up in a conversation. He said he told the company that what happened to me was one of the key reasons why he left. So no, it never was all in my mind, or just me being over-sensitive. One of the best cases of constructive dismissal that I've ever seen and I am living in it... this beats the Nedbank case from years ago. I am still there though, by a thread.
As many have said, I cannot be without a job, I need another one to go to, then we can do the whole CCMA thing. I have one hell of a paper trail already.
Let's do this by the numbers.
1. Personal wellbeing
2. Get a new car
3. Get a good labour lawyer
And just in case they are snooping on me again at work, I am going to refrain from posting here during working hours.
