I think the general idea with a build like that is to kill things quickly before they take all your hp and with elites they have to die within WotB CD, which is very possible with decent dps as others have proven.

Anyway that is my thoughts :)

Ow and regarding live steal & Loh, well consider a weapon with 850 LoH (not the max) with frienzy you will get 75%, so thats +- 640 Loh
Life steal has a 80% penalty. With 3% on a weapon (the max) you will have to hit for 113k to steal the same amount as the Loh weapon :)

Hey bud, thanks for the insight. I am looking at swapping something else out for War Cry as well, but just want to see how things work out now.... I can boost armour/resists by 500/100 respectively, giving me 5500 armour and ~500 resists. I solo'd a little of act 2 last night with my current build (400 resists) and it was harsh, but I didn't die with every white mob, as my main barb did....

As for the LoH/LS, I'm not intending on losing my LoH, merely trying to supplement it with the low LoH I currently have. If I were to use a Bash setup, I could potentially be looking at close on 1800 LoH. I also have access to the Bloodlust passive on the Barb which gives an additional 3% LS to get me close to the 10%...

With all that's been mentioned, there are a few builds I may try with Conan. Hopefully I find the sweet spot which will allow him to progress.
 
Guys I'm on Inferno with my Barbarian, completed hell easily - killed azmodan in around 10 seconds.

Now I'm screwed, I'm basically a giant glass cannon. I leap in use earthquake and if I don't kill the things quickly I'm DEAD.

I have built the character around crits so my crit chance is like 43% and I'm doing 80-100k dmg with one hit but I die really easily....

What should I do?
 
What are your others stats (ballpark figures)? And what build you using?
With my monk, 25k dps, 24k HP, 350 RA, 5k armour, act 1 is easy (unbuffed stats). When I first went in it was around 12k dps, 30k+ HP, 500RA, 4k armour. That might give you a ballpark to look at.

24500 dps (40% crit chance)
33000 hp
LOL only like 50 RA (some are more some are less)

Zomg, sounds like my barb at first, I also went flat out damage, but I was too squishy!
So I'd say at least 1k more armour, and 300RA. Hopefully that doesnt impact your damage too much. I find its basically a game of dps vs damage reduction. The faster you kill the less armour you need, and vice versa.

300RA should be easy if you AH, there is a lot of roughly "75 main stat, 60 AR, little bit of vit" gear that goes for next to nothing. I might actually have some that you could borrow if you want

I love being able to smash groups of enemies and they die with 1 hit. ;D

I think Phreeme's one barb has roughly that DPS, also a crit build, so he will be able to give more solid numbers. They might be a bit high though cause I think his barb is 95% act 2 ready judging by last nights run

But yes, one shot cleave + explosion rune ftw. Its a lot of fun :D Especially with crits

Seriously though, my stats as follows - 5600 armour, 400-500 resists, 20k dmg but I only have a 25% crit chance. I dropped it from 35.5% as critting was not doing enough for me to stay alive. Ask Archer and Worf about my first barb - who was supposed to be a tank.

I use Frenzy with maniac (2 x 1 handers with gemmed LoH) which buffs damage another 20%, so in battle it's easy for me to maintain 24k dps. If attack speed isn't the be-all, then Bash has a rune that increases it's already superior single hit damage by 18% (Frenzy would hit at ~130% buffed vs 168% on Bash).

Bud in all honesy, as it stands, you need to try and get your resists to ~300, even if it's only when buffed (so aim for 200 and use War Cry with impunity). Once you survive a little longer, battle should be easier (I'm 2 shotting white mobs when soloing) and finding gear should be easier. It's a pain, but for a while you may need to trade down in either dps or crit chance, for some survivability.

This will be a subjective piece of info, but I feel there is only one Rage skill ever worth considering in Inferno. WotB. What rune you choose is up to you (I go Insanity for doube damage) but for 15s you have a nice extra crit/dodge chance and in my case, 48k dps.

Archer is giving me a little more credit than I'm due for my Act 2 readiness though... But then again, I am the only barb that counts right?? :D

Edit: To give you an idea, my main (first) barb is still doing between 12k-14k dps (1h with shield) with 350 resists and ~23k Hp and Act 1 is still fairly straightforward.

Phreeme - what build were you running last night?
I was thinking that you didnt use furious charge all that much (then again, I probably missed it while I was trying to not die :p), so why not switch for overpower with revel (195% aoe damage, 8% life for each mob hit). And with a decent crit chance you could spam it nicely since its got a chance for 1s less cooldown on crit (cooldown is 10s).

Bud you do not know how much I want to try that. The problem is I have no "escape" skill then. Not that it really helps, as I try escape too late, but dreadnaught also gives the heal.

In fact I'll give it a shot - hopefully either before we do a run or find an elite. I've wanted to try that combo, so lets see.

Whats your resistances like? What I did is got my resist up to about 300-400 (With Warcry impunity rune) Dropped the duel wielding and got a shield with a high block rate. And act 1 became a breeze. At the moment I can do act 1 without dying once.

My stats from the top of my head

HP 44k
Resist 300-450
Damage 14k (39k with wrath of beserker, and beserker rage passive)
Armour 8000-9000

Build
Left Mouse - Frenzy (sidearm)
Right mouse - Furious Charge (With the last rune, can't remember what its called, but it steals life, so when your in ***** you just charge out of the mob stealing life)
1 - WarCry (Impunity)
2 - Wrath of beserker (Insanity)
3 - Ignore pain (Ignorance is bliss, also good for life steel once your in the middle of a mob)
4 - Revenge (With the last rune, can't remember the name now)

Passive, Nerves of Steel, Beserker rage, tough as nails

Act one seems intimidating at first, but once you get your resist up, it becomes allot easier. At the moment steadily working myself through act 2

Playing a demon hunter as an alt, without seeing your exact setup it would be hard to judge where you can improve, but try stacking Critical hit chance, and critical hit damage and obviously dexterity haha
 
Ventured into Act 3 last night, didnt go too badly. Fought a variety of mobs and handled them well... until... illusionist. I never thought illusionist would bug me, but now ugh. With low damage I cant burst down the elites fast enough, and then the illusions trap me. So to counter this.....

Switch the rune on Breath of Heaven from +15% dmg, to 1.5 sec fear AOE. I almost never use the + dmg until I need to heal anyway, so I'm hardly used to the extra damage. Hopefully this will give my monk some more mobility (and its an extra interrupt for those hard hitters). If that still doesnt work then I'll go back to using Evasion with hard target. So close to running Act 3 I can taste it (or at least I hope so :p)

Seriously though, if I could get my LoH closer to yours (now only 300 gemmed LoH) I would be more receptive to an Act 3 run. The problem is I need to find some pretty heavy gear to reach that level, otherwise I can kill some white mobs, but elites.... are as OP as your monk!!
 
Sheesh how times changes things. So I did the unthinkable and paid Andrew Harrison a visit. I effectively bought 2 items (one bought for me - thanks Archer) for a grand total of 200K. Suffice to say I'm now doing 38k dps "unbuffed" (Passives are active :D ).

I've also changed my build minimally....

LMB: Cleave with the 156% dmg rune
RMB: WotB with Insanity <-- may change rune from double damage to crits increase duration now that my crit chance is up.
Skill 1: Ignore Pain with 7s duration
Skill 2: Battle Cry with 30% total dmg increase
Skill 3: Revenge with 30% activation chance
Skill 4: War Cry with 50% all resist boost

Passives: Ruthless, Weapon Master and Tough as Nails.

Fully buffed (excl WotB) I'm at ~6700 armour, ~710 AR, 29k HP and 52k dps. I need Vitality fairly badly though.

Something like this should be good. Act 1 you are good with your defensive stats, act 2 you may want another 100 all res. To up your damage crit chance and crit damage are your friends. Now if you want magic find while upping your damage as well... you'll need roughly 2mil per piece. Without the MF though, you could likely get by with 250k per piece.

My level 38 DH is also in Act I nightmare (almost done), and does +- 1300 dps.

Get a Higher DPS weapon and you will roll right through Normal difficulty.
