Ok, so this in only from 1.04 onwards but at least they are trying. Before this most legendaries were full of meh
Skycutter - Chance to summon angelic assistance when attacking. (there is also a demon one with fire chains)
Cluckeye - 25% chance to cluck when attacking.
Hellrack - Chance to root enemies to the ground when you hit them.
Flying Dragon - Chance to double your attack speed when attacking.
Bul-Kathos's Wedding Band - You drain life from enemies around you.
Well then i must admit he/she is a much better player than i am. I get owned with my wizard in hell with 13k hp. Would love to know what the quality of his/her gear is.
I think the paragon sys will improve longevity but it wont get me to play more after i am done with my monk.
Yeah, they needed to do it to keep the money flowing in from the auction house.
What I want to know is why it launched like it did? I mean, this will result in a completely different economy. Surely beta testing would have revealed it wasnt that fun? Why did it take them this long to figure it out?
Blizzard games are normally renowned for being solid on launch day, and receiving significant support after that. So its a little surprising that not long after it was released, it gets such a major patch. The major D2 patch came like 5 years after the game was released.
It would be interesting to see how long that first level takes for everyone.
If it takes 1 hour to reach the first paragon level, you'll be needing another ±1450 hours to reach 100

I wonder what the point of the 100th paragon level will be ?
I'm on level 60(para level1) and at the Beginning of Hell, lets say I get to the very end of the game and my paragon level 10.
How many times much I finish hell to get to 100 ? After the first few runs it will become a breeze ? The extra stats and uber gear will start making it pretty pointless. Whats the point of paragon level 50+ ? To farm gear for your other chars ?
Look, this will extend the life of the game but damn... I'm already a bit tired of the content. I have taken a bit of a break due to my PC dying and I'm looking foward to checking the new patch out... but for how long ?
I have played though 4 times already, thats not counting the number of times I have redone stuff with friends.
Content, story, secret levels..... lets see more of that.
Whats your dps, if you wanna roll low hp, you have to be a dps monster, because you'll have to kill everything before you even get hit, so everything becomes about killing **** FAST
Played trough hell yesterday and into inferno.
Need some crowd control, the elites is way to strong for me.

Any suggestions. I don't think my gear is that bad. Mebbe just a bad player lol.

Haha rather play through inferno than hell, i'm thinking that would give more xp towards your paragon levels, and I'm sure we'll see more content and story with future expansions, but honestly, anyone playing a game expecting to see a lot of new content all the time, and that are not happy running the same content will not be happy with ANY of the diablo games

In terms of XP I'm getting like one bar an hour, about 700k xp at this rate ill get to paragon 1 in 10 hours.
Going to have to give inferno a shot again to see if that is better.
I played a bit last night and I must say it feels a lot fresher. Hell is just way to hard for the stats I have right now. I can't actually let elites touch me as they kill me instantly. Kiting FTW

Drops are also better.... got rares off random mobs.
Diablo is not wow, it was never about the story.
Anyway, I tried the paragon system and new patch last night, the game simply does not have anything left in it that can keep my interested for longer than a few minutes.

I'm not much further (middle of act 2 inferno), but it looks like you are going for low hp with a semi-melee build?(assuming spectral blade is used lots)
If you use it less and focus on ray of frost or anything else I would recommend boots with +move speed - it makes a suprising difference(if you have, apologies as it doesn't show on my phone, or any oher boots stats)
I also dropped diamond skin completely as the absorbsion amount is just too little even glyphed(pre patch at least), currently using teleport with fracture and illusionist and it seems to be doing well
