lol

btw how was the line speed today lightscribe?

yours is actually the best to go by seeing as you do more than one test.
I just wish telkom would hurry up with the line installation....:cry:

Hi guys, nice to see some good reading above. Well my torrents are doing great today, between 25KB/s and 31KB/s the whole day. Browsing is slow, but thats the torrents problem, p2p emule is still only getting 2.4KB/s when its running on its own.
Spicy with 384 line.

Uhmm, now where did this all begin? Let me break it up...did anyone see the proteas innings? :)

Actually mine has taken a dip. The MyBB pages load slowly and Secondlife doesn't work again. Logs in, but does not load anything. 0-1KB speed again.

Well then, consider the point illustrated. Now get back to posting recruit! :wtf:

Yessir! :D

Anyways, back to causing yet another war....

Here's something else I find odd and not making any sense.

"No thresholds? download all you can.
No rolling windows? go for it. We understand downloads."

But now they also say:

"This is a managed service, with business protocols taking priority. Network conditions will determine the speed of P2P* and torrents."

Isnt that a threshold in itself? Limiting the speed, with business protocols taking priority?

its like the axxess express accounts, 384kbs during business hours, and at night full 4mbs.

The only difference here, is that DC is not even offering a full 4mbs at night.

It seems to me DC is doing everything the opposite of what they said they were going to do from the beginning?

Its very contradicting

How do u download all you can with business protocols taking priority, and the network determines the speed of p2p and torrents? simply contradicting itself

That would be a seriously awesome package, like an axxes type after hours account where you get +- 40 KB/s during the day and then full speed after hours and on weekends for +-R500 !

Back home... and Torrents between 58KB\s and 63KB/s!!! Awesome!! This is great :) Will try RS in a bit...

EDIT: Highest speed was 72KB/s but only for a couple of seconds.

"No thresholds?

Yes, there are none. The speeds are to stay the same, all the time.

download all you can.

Yes, within "a managed service, with business protocols taking priority. Network conditions will determine the speed of P2P* and torrents."

No rolling windows?

None, whatsoever.

go for it. We understand downloads.

Yes, go for it. They do understand downloads. They are making sure everyone gets to enjoy the service.

Thus, no contradiction...As you seem to try and point out below...

"This is a managed service, with business protocols taking priority. Network conditions will determine the speed of P2P* and torrents."

"Thresholds" are cap related...As in, it is "finite".

its like the axxess express accounts, 384kbs during business hours, and at night full 4mbs.

Not at all. It's the same speed, all the time, as per the standard industry "best effort service".

The only difference here, is that DC is not even offering a full 4mbs at night.

The 4Mbps speed not an issue. DC does not sell such products. The only difference is that DC has no thresholds. All your points are deliberately meant to obfuscate. Try not to confuse and scare the public.

It seems to me DC is doing everything the opposite of what they said they were going to do from the beginning?

It seems to me you have nothing much to do today. Perhaps, rather give us some valuable information.

If you're on a DC account at the moment, do some speed tests so that others can see what is going on.

My line is crawling at almost standstill.

How do u download all you can with business protocols taking priority, and the network determines the speed of p2p and torrents? simply contradicting itself

No contradiction. The speed of certain protocols are constant, insofar as the general standard of "best effort service".

You may download all you can from any protocol, at a specified speed per protocol.

No one, anywhere, will stop you downloading all you can, at a specified speed per protocol.

my torrents are standing between 1 - 3kBps. rapidshare is working between 5 - 20kBps but it seems only one file connects at a time even though i pay for the premium service..
