DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Looks like we need to redefine package speed.

I could have sworn it used to be minimum speed of 256Kbps

The DC website now states : "Up to speed of 256 kbps."

So no more complaining guys if your speeds are low.

That sucks.

Yah, I see that. Thanks for pointing that out. Personally, I think that was pretty sneaky of them.

I restarted my router and now my connection is completely dead, no browsing or downloading.
Anybody else not able to connect.
Spicy with 384kbps.

MMM, so insted of improving things, they just change there product to what they able to deliver.

This is sad news. Does this mean we can complain if anyone gets over 256kbs?

Still very dead on my side, cant browse or download, on my axxess account now ,anyone else still down or does it have something to do with the differant packages
Spicy and 512 line

:eek::eek:

Isn't that illegal?

HAHAHAHAHA THATS IS THE BIGGEST FAIL I HAVE EVER SEEN!

so now they not even guaranteeing 256kbs anymore
up to 256kbs, useless...
So anywhere between 0.01kbs up to 32kbs is what they are offering for R300

What a fail, one after the other!

Just received my first Invoice from DC as well.

But me thinks it will probably be the last one.

I'm not sure why you guys are complaining. We have been saying for quite some time now the claim of a guaranteed 32K was not being delivered as some things were being throttled to below that.

Telkoms dsl service also operates with this "up to" clause - it just makes more sense because it's more honest.

Over the next few months the network will stabilize and then we will know what speeds we will be getting. If it's normally 32K we will be happy, but if it's far less then we will vote with our feet.

Its better if digichilli are honest.

No matter how you look at it jak3, you cannot change your SLA with your clients without consulting with them first.

I am honestly glad I am no more a chilli.

I dunno. Does this mean they no longer have any intention to provide guaranteed 256?

at least afrihost have their special of buy one gig for R29 and get double that... ie R14.50 per gb....

Had such high hopes for DC... mebe one day they will get it sorted....

thats exactly what it means, unless my english is very poor and I dont understand. But, to my understanding, they have realised that they cannot even guarantee a minimum service anymore, so they just say UP TO 256kbs, anywhere between 0.00kbs - 32kbs is acceptable by them.

IMO, DC has done absolutely fockoll for broadband in this country. Im still surprised as to how many followers they still have. Very big let down.

I personally think digichilli should just call their current service a paid beta, because thats what it currently is.

Hoodrich, clearly digichilli entered the market with a few incorrect assumptions, and they are having to change things as they go along. It's not ideal, but for the sustainability of their business they are forced to learn and then act accordingly. To their credit, their service is month to month so their clients can vote with their feet.

Digichilli, sux, again no connectivity. Again no browsing, again no internet. Time to move.

lol.. I had a test account (which i didnt even use) Glad I have stuck it out with Screamer! Doing about 3 gig a day....

So are many of us.
