DigiChilli January Status and feedback

Flipping hell! I have yet to hit the 2Gig mark. The only downloads I'm currently interrested in are the games I've purchased via Steam and I can't even log in. I still have 70Gig worth of games (15 games in total) to download.

Last month I managed about 20Gig. That means I still have (With luck) 3 months to stick it out with DC which would (if the discounts keep applying) cost me R720.

In Telkom bandwitdh that is 11gig worth of extra cap wich leaces me 59Gig short so not an option
Rock ->me<- hard place

I use ONLY torrents and i only Download at great speeds for piratebay... any local site like BF i get aweful speeds coz DC -> any other south african ISP and visa versa is T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E. Hope they fix that issue out because the local site are complaining about ratios :(

Just called and they say that they're STILL busy with the maintenance they were doing yesterday and that it'll be up in a couple of hours. Why the choose to do this maint for so long in the middle of peak times escapes me but I think its absolutely ridiculous that the service is unavailable more than it's actually running.

If People go off and do thier things like sleep and work and leave thier torrents and NZB's downloading, when exactly is the "right" time to do maintenance?

I am getting good average speeds of 0.30Mbs on a spicy package with a 4meg line... Good since i am paying for such. Yesterday i did get some spikes up to 3mbs but for 10minute odd sessions. I am happy with that, now if only they can sort their invoicing out so that i can pay for the next months use.

That's some quality "Guaranteed" Speeds you got there! SERIOUSLY can anybody tell me what their Guaranteed speeds are?

http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/

Use the same username and password you use to login to DC (your router username and password)

Ok, so over 2 days here is my usage!

Sessions: 17 (WTF)
Online Time (Seconds): 8845 (almost 2.5hrs)
Upload (Bytes): 32 522 491 (31Mb)
Download (Bytes): 146 657 027: (call it 140Mb)
Combined (Bytes): 179 179 518 (call it +-170mb)

WOW!!

I have officially emailed them about cancellation.

Andre we need a update almost yesterday please. I think we'd all like to know what's really happening over there, like why was DC perfect for a few hours and baaad for a few days? I'm leaning towards your network/shaper is not working at all like it's supposed to for the simple fact no one is getting an equal share :(

I don't think I need to email DC coz I'm sure you guys already know speeds are k@K, but if you do need details just ask and I'm sure a lot of mybb dc users will be more than happy to get this fixed :D

Speed:

HTTP single: 5kB/s max
HTTP Multi thread: 24kB/s max
Torrents: 1kB/s max
Audio Streaming: Working while not downloading
Youtube: Way to slow to use
IM: had a little trouble early but working now

Yesterday I was getting way better what happened :(

My Downloads have dropped from about 2.5GB/day to 1.7

Astraweb constant 25KB/s

Line graph never hits more than 250kbps

Things have really gotten worse now. All HTTP multithreaded downloads are sub 20kB/s with jDownloader and even worse sub 10kB/s using DAP

+1
Using Rapidshare I was getting around 2.5-3GB/day now I'm down to 1.3-1.7GB/day.
My speeds fluctuate between 15-25KB/s.
