I only signed up 4 days ago so I guess my question is, is this normal?
I called them and they said their neotel link was down and the techies would have it back up "any minute now".

...but that cant be my issue because I only sporadically had connection for the last 4 days now. Cuts off completely at night.
 
Yup, my account is dead as well, cannot browse, cannot do anything! wtf! How much longer are we going to give DC to sort out their issues, they have been operating for the passed 1 and a half months if im not mistaken? how many more months are we going to give them?

Been following DC threads here for almost a month. Surprised how patient some peeps are, still posting about their same ole connection problems a month later.
I don't even want to use my FREE account at the mo, too many hassles and torrents suck. I'm not sure if torrents will ever be allowed at a reasonable speed on 384 line.
Dave's last responce re torrents were, not to ask about them (yet?), or sumin to that effect. I don't recall seeing a definite... yes, torrents will be 100% on all line speeds in these Dec/Jan threads. Might have missed it, but many have asked.
I say... get something else till this is sorted 100% (which I hope it WILL be)
 
Little joke for you: The problem is in the contract DC has with their upstream provider it states: nine fives availability guaranteed. and that is what they are providing. :eek:
 
Mine was doing awesome through much of the day, even when it said there were problems. Now dead as well. Sigh....
Signed up yesterday, not a good beginning.

I've read through many of the posts, I'm wondering if there is anyone that actually knows the real issues they are having and why they & screamer constantly have problems where other carriers do not. Is it just overselling bandwidth and growing pains?

+1 Have to agree with you, Hopefully the torrent thing will be sorted out, and we'll be able to even use torrent at the guaranteed speed... Because at 1-5KB/s is not what I was expecting... also now I wish I could just do some browsing on dc... :cry:

There also seems to be a problem with their phone line.
Called 6 times and was cut off 6 times.
 
My connection has also been dead for the past few hours.......absolutley no websites loading. I have been going through this cr@p for over a month now (and I am a paying client).......

Come on DC.....this is getting tiresome......

You laugh now... I can just see the Headlines in the newspaper "New local Internet Service Provider DigiChilli caught operating in Dave Wellman's basement"

The first paragraph will read....

A very concerned and angry customer decided to visit the DigiChilli Headquarters to find out why they are stealing customers money and not providing the service, only to find Dave and Hilly sitting at their house, being served beer by Hilly's mom. When the customer confronted them, Dave and Hilly smashed a beer bottle over his head and carried his body to their basement. Needless to say, the customer was not dead and regained conciousness and when he opened his eyes, he saw what appeared to be their headquarters...
